people actually build those for a hobby, they mount a PC running MAME inside a cabinet and wire up all the controls to it.

You should get a Net Yaroze, the old black Playstation.

It let you create your own games, but whether or not you'll actually be able to make them, I'm not sure, because you had to have a dial up line, and loads of other stuff.

It'll probably cost you an arm and a leg. (One on eBay is currently bidding at £103.00p)

    Other than that, get a 360. =]

There was a guy here in The Philippines who built a small Pac man Arcade, using an iPod as the game player & crafted & painted a Styrofoam Arcade housing, it's cute actually

Hey, some one Familiar with the Net Yaroze, me & my friends wanted one of those

    THANK GOD!!

Finally a fellow Lufia fan! WOOHOO!! ;D

    Anyway, quick question:

Do you think Nintendo copied Pokemon from Lufia 2's "Capsule Monsters"? I mean Lufia 2 was published years before Pokemon you know. :-\

The 360 doesn't have room to get any smaller,
so besides variations in colour, all they can do is release bigger hard-drives....
But unless they plan to release full Xbox360 games on Live,
I can't see them doing that...

There's no reason for you not to get one....

even so, microsoft will keep releasing new ones because they're greedy like that. and because people are stupid enough to buy the new ones, even if the only difference is the colour.

Firstly, all this anti-Microsoft sentiment is retarded...
Of course they want to make money....that's what they're there for...
Would you complain about a charitable organisation who was too nice
and helping the needy too much...

    As for a re-design..
It can't happen....the interior of the xbox is already lacking space....
If you make it smaller, then the heating problems will be catastrophic..

And besides, consoles aren't like handhelds(how many DS's is that now?)
....you don't tend to get newer versions(unless it's a Sony console)

I'll be very surprised if they release a new design...
They will of course release bigger hard-drives,
and limited edition Gears of War consoles etc.
And if people are stupid enough to buy them....why not?

I wont be buying one because I already have a big hardrive...
And if I want to change colour, i'll paint

snes is fun and funky if you like getting retro and off beat get the Japanese super famicom it Will be a bit more expensive and you probably wont understand any text or dialogue from in game but it has a much vaster catalogue of games then the super Nintendo as a lot of the games were Japanese only releases.

If you like retro, I'd have to go with a SEGA MegaDrive 2. Just awesome, I have one, and about 15 games. It's just so good to play it. Unfortunately, the controller is a bit fucked up, but nothing to worry about. Besides the computer emulator, I have it on my PS2. ;D

If you're not very fond of a SEGA MegaDrive 2, get a SNES. Another classic console.

EDIT: God dammit, I just realised you don't have a PS2! God dammit, that's my second advise, then the SNES! God dammit, get one!

    God dammit!

its a simple thing get a PS2 or X-Box 360 both of them have great games, and there's still games coming out for them, but yeah the older ones are nice, but really there aren't any games coming out

I knew somebody who used to own a Donkey Kong Game & Watch machine. He kinda laughed that after nearly 30 years Nintendo returned to the grass roots dual screen technology. ;D

He dismantled & broke his DK Game & Watch machine when we were kids, just to see what was inside the poor thing.
