what pokemon game is the best?

I think the best pokemon game is Gold/silver/Crystal because it still had the originality of blue/red/yellow but expanded upon them and made them better.

 

For me, it's Pokemon Silver.

 

Hmmm. Silver, Ruby, Platinum or Yellow... Can't pick. But I narrowed the list down to these 4. Each one has their own reason I can't really remember right now.

Pokemon Yellow, nothing like a filthy rodent following you and expect you to appease it, classic... I think that is the first pokemon game I played through like dozens of times. I remember using the super gameboy cart when I get tired of using the little gameboy pocket. Crystal was good also, because of the dual map. Never played ruby/saph,etc, and did not finish pearl lol, got stuck at certain part(loss T.T).

I've really lost interest because there's like 10 Pokemon games and only about 4 engines

Crystal all the way... Pokemon dumbed down to ages 6 and up when it reached the GBA

 

Imho glod/silver/crystal is the best so far. The new ones have become too kid friendly and too easy. I beat a level 40 Golduck with a level 23 Gyrados that only knew splash, tackle, and brine because the Golduck kept using psych up.

Also I don't think Heartgold and Soulsilver will be good remakes. They've changed the character's appearance, Just look at rival now, he looks like Roark without the glasses. Now your first pokemon in your party actually follows you. I don't like that, it only worked in Pokemon Yellow. All I know is if it's as good a remake as Firered and Leafgreen, it's going to be bad.

 

Why didn't u like the pokemon following you? isn't it comfty? the feeling of "Im just here, you're not alone" and it makes the battle sequence faster without throwing the ball everytime you battle.
Pokemon characters have been emos for more than a decade, its time!

My favorite Pokémon game would be Crystal. It had the best of Gold and Silver (sans Ampharos :<), and the storyline with Suicune. The move tutor and new egg moves were also great additions.

Here's hoping Soul Silver is badass. n_n;

 

My personal fav was and still is crystal, because at the end of the game you get to face Ash and he is STRONG!!! with everything in the high70s to mid80s plus his AI is much better than all the other trainers. He will switch out when hes at a disadvantage type wise and he uses combos and stategies. Hes worth the time to play the game if only for how strong he is.

 

My favorites are red and blue. It was just epic when the hole school sits outdoor on some benches with GBs and GBCs while the big break. I remember we were split in two groups. The ones who play fair, and the others, who use the Missingno-glitch.
