yep the game was kinda fun, one of the offspins that wasn't a complete failure. it could of been made a lot bigger though as it was too short.
Oh man that game was awesome I still remeber you had to feed something to a shellder so it would bite a slowpoke's tail and get you a slowbro. Awesome.
the original pokemon blue and red are still my favourites on the original gameboy, it was fresh new game play back then and something that I will never forget, my first ever pokemon was a bulbasaur and he was the greatest and then he bloody evolved and then again it was great how whenever you wanted a new character you just went and caught one.
all good pokemon games =gold, silver, crystal crap pokemon games=pokemon platinum virtually exactly the same as diamond and pearl
how can you say platinums crap, diamond and pearl are the basically same game as every other pokemon why now decide that one is crap, gold silver and crystal were basically the same game different name situation you got now. sure i wish there was more different stuff then just some wifi add ons from the last games but its a good fun formula, don't get me wrong at some stage or another the games will finally give me the shits and I will stop playing them but for now the games are still good. why diss some when they are all the same.
..what. Have you even played Platinum at all? * Yellow was good because there were lots of changes- having Pikachu follow you around, being able to have all starters, improved graphics (considering it was GB/GBC), etc. * Crystal was mediocre, in my opinion, though it was one of my favourites as it was the first game you were able to be a female character. First game to introduce Pokemon animations at the start of every battle. Guarantee to catch Suicune wasn't really that big a deal, seeing as how most people already had two of all of the legendary dogs from G/S. *Emerald was the worst remake out of each generation. They didn't do shit to make it a better game. They changed tiny details, like giving the main characters green outfits, and changing the Pokemon that moved your stuff into the house from a Machoke to a ..Slakoth, I think, or something similar (I don't really remember). The Battle Tower thing at the end of the game really wasn't worth it, to me. I'm probably missing some details for each game, but I definitely think Platinum is the best out of all the remakes (and D/P definitely is not my favourite generation). The dialogue is improved, there are different Pokemon to be found in certain areas, lots of simple things got changed but those simple things give the game an entirely new feeling, such as the new gyms, or battling a clown in the Pokemon center (lolwut).
;D yeah that was lame i didn't really like ruby/saphire anyway though because even though there were new mon they should of included a LOT more of the old ones is there really that much change in the game? i havn't even started playing this yet, i reckon the battle frontier should be good at least, but don't know whether the rest is worth it
I'm surprised how fun Platinum is but I don't have a fecking clue why I like it much better than the D&P
It's more noticable than usual, yes. They've changed up what Pokemon appear in certain places entirely (you can now catch Psyduck very early in the game, and there are wild Ralts in the region somewhere), they've increased Pokemon levels- I remember the trainers after Solaceon Town, the one guy with a Happiny at level 18- now is level 23. I think the strongest Pokemon in the Elite 4 is level 78. They changed the storyline a bit too, and right from the git-go. When I was reading a review, mentioned that there is more explanation than before regarding Cyrus. It seems like it was cleaned up a bit as well, like going from crappy translations (Chrono Trigger) to good or at least decent ones (Chrono Trigger DS). So yeah, there are lots of changes and probably even more, cos I'm not that far into the game- like third gym area or so. It's always a nice surprise to see what they have in store for you next, so you should play it as well.
Yeah me too, I have D/P on my R4 for like 2 years now but I didn't really play them for like..1hour? But when I downloaded Platinum, since then I have 31 hours of gameplay.
i actually have the energy to make the effort to beat Platinum, even though it's *almost* diamond/pearl again. i don't really have a clue to that either but the whole game generally seems to run much better
I was a small fan of pokemon, I only played Gold(but sold it) when it was out and craved to get the other ones...then stopped got Ruby)sold it again, along with accidently letting a kid borrow the guide that came with that I seen again) :c (Sorry for that off topic-ness)
