What is YSMenu?

    first of what is ysmenu? i've been hearing this recently and i can't find a definition of it. im sure of one thing tho that it is used for flashcarts. second is it necessary to install ysmenu? do the benefits make it a must to install?

    Its a modified DSTT firmware for the R4.
    Don't bother with it unless you're using an R4.

    does that mean i don't have to update firmware from my r4 website once i got ysmenu? can someone please explain more about the ysmenu thing.

    Well, if you're using an original R4 then there haven't been any firmware updates in years. So what people did was take a firmware that was being updated regularly and they modified it to work on the R4. If you have an original R4 and you are having trouble running some games, then you might want to try Ysmenu.

    I have the same question. How does Ysmenu work? How does one use and install it? Does it only work on r4? Or does it work on the clone variants too?

    I'm sorry, I don't know much about it, I just know what it is.
    So I'm not sure about clones, but this thread might help.
