So yesterday, my XP computer decided to deactivate itself (again)... so I thought I would try out some other OS's that I had.
1st: Windows 2000 (never really used it before, it was nice, but not what I really wanted)
2nd: Tiny Windows 7 (I would have kept this one, but it didn't like my graphics card, so it stayed in
    640x460)
3rd: OpenSUSE (This one didn't want to accept the fact that I was using a wireless adapter, despite the fact I had installed it correctly using NDISwrapper)
4th: Damn Small Linux (just for shits 'n giggles)
5th: Ubuntu (good thing it was only a live disc...)
so I finally got tired of it all last night, so when I came home today, I put in the XP disc...

I guess I'm sticking with XP....

Backtrack is cool and all, and it's a great little distro for somewhat illegal activites, but for some reason I never really liked it that much. I still use it on occasion.

Gotta get those wifi keys somehow. Not only that but it is great for non illegal stuff like auditing your own networks and computers. This is crucial especially if you are downloading copyrighted roms over the net! ;) Those anti-piracy groups operate outside the law so we have no remorse for the code of ethics that we are supposed to follow. The Digital Millenium act is a farce so I say BackTrack it up ppl.

The Internet should be a human right not a damn priviledge. ;)

But piracy is more or less theft, and stealing internet keys could be an invasion of privacy...

copyright piracy is NOT theft, stop listening to the antipiracy organisations.

breaking in to someone's wireless network is a criminal offense. copyright piracy is a civil offense.

    That is XP.

I tried going back to Linux, but it just isn't the same as Windows... :p

Plus I don't get any errors at all with Tiny 7 Ultimate Edition.

I know most about the Windows line, so I'll say this.

I like Win2k the best until I can fully test 7, although I agree that Windows is an example of poorly designed but perfectly implemented software.

I believe Windows covers all the bases when it comes to what someone wants a computer to do...
So I'm thinking maybe every Windows OS (except for Vista, no Vista please)

    not quite, but most bases.

I'm curious to know where it's lacking... not trying to start a flame war, just want to know

its useless for high performance systems/clusters (can't be clustered at all, there was talk of a clusterable version but it died a death) and its not as good for servers as linux is.

Ok, you got me Loony... then does Linux cover all the bases?

Linux does not cover the complete gamer base.

If you use a program like WINE then it does...
