XP. Since Windows 7 isn't exactly OUT there yet, I trust XP with pretty much everything. Mac works fine too, but XP gives me a little more control.

Yeah, but not from where I'm from. Until it does become a mainstream, and programmers make Windows 7 compatible versions of their software like Adobe Audition, then I'll switch over.

Anything vista compatible will run on win 7, and virtually anything XP compatible will as well.

wow how people in here love windows! seeing the post almost all use window. I, myself, have just migrated to ubuntu.. I must admit it is not as user friendly as windows, but so far love it. Made me learnt many things which I believe will be needed for me later. It is fast, tidy, and something to learn; love it. ^o^

Maybe I'll hop over to 7 when I get my hands on a licensed copy.

And since previous posters have posted pc specs, maybe I can give mine a go.

A poor attempt at making linux accessible to the wider public. I don't consider it a serious distribution.

Oh, then it's right to say that the name itself screams crap. Linux isn't half bad, but it's not exactly on Par with the sleekness of a Mac or the form and function of Windows.

My curiosity has been turned off.

Windows has no form or function....
Oh, it has some Features, f.e many Errors ;-)

So, do you use it in Virtualbox or Parallels (VMWareFusion?)?
I used to have TinyXP for patching ROM's...

    Just what I thought.

If I was downloading one of these it was NOT UbuntuĀ®.

    Indeed.

I'm using the latest distro of Fedora (dual booting to Windows 7), and my friend is using Arch (apparently his boot time is under 10s).

    Arch linux is VERY fast.

I used it for a few days, but my friend had installed KDE, and i needed more room on my harddrive...

Arch is a very wonderful OS too!

    Fully customizable.
