Mine would have to be a tie between "Super Mario Bros. 3" and "Super Mario World". Whenever I want a quick classic fix, those are my go-to games.

Some of you have great taste in games! Makes me feel a little less like a Luddite caveman. :p

Streets of Rage 2 is a favorite, as is SNES Zelda, both great choices. I think that in many cases the pre-32 bit games were deeper and more well crafted because they HAD to be, not like many modern games that seem to use cookie-cutter 'engines' and look as if they were created by a lazy programmer that didnt care either way. I'm 36 years old and have been playing since the birth of video games and though in many cases I PREFER 8 and 16 bit games, I still have a deep affinity for games such as the Resident Evil series, (bought a PS2 just for RE4...) Silent Hill, and a good first person shooter. Oh, and the Super Mario re-do for DS is AMAZING...I lost two hours last night that seemed like two minutes..just a gorgeous piece of work...Mario growing to that MONSTEROUS size and then to such a tiny size, just brilliant!

(Thanks to Lacius BTW for the great recommendations, all have been superb..except for this one called "Scribblenauts"..lol...its interesting for SURE, but neither my wife nor myself has the hang of the touch screen thing just yet!)

    Regards,

    A.R.

Pokemon Gold and Silver has to take the cake for me. As a kid those games drove me. And even before that, it was Yo-noid. Gotta love those pizza-eating contests.
For PC, i would say Tombraider III. Still today I see Tombraider III as one of the best of the series. Not because of its graphics (obviously) but just because it was more exciting.

BS was one of the first games I played on the Amiga 500 (along with Menace and Shadow of the Beast). They were damn hard and incredibly nice at the same time. In the 90's things got even more interesting with Gods, Unreal, Lionheart, Leander, Chaos Engine, Hired Guns, There were also classic simulations (Elite), RPGs (Dungeon Master, Might & Magic series), etc. 1985-1995 was probably the best decade for gaming.

IMPOSSIBLEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one mentioned Chip's Challenge? xD but seriously, it was quite fun back when I didn't have any game consoles =P

Urban Terror is really fun ^^ I liked it if only it didn't lag that much for me and jam up every once in a while >< the graphics made most people lose interest in it quickly but I find it really fun xD
