its not stealing. I studied a Law module at university and I can assure you that copyright piracy does not fit the legal definition of stealing, no matter what the antipiracy organisations try to tell people.

If you download a program/game, try it out, and then subsequently buy it, or decide not to and delete the downloaded copy, how is that different from taking a car for a test drive before you buy it?

Rysi0: you cunt-piece of shit contribute to Romulation or get the fuck out.
    Dannysikth: true bro....

Me:"Seph use your mighty keyboard to ban that asshole!"

Seph: "Fuck you say, don't tell me what to do"

    Me: "Ok sorry master....:("

[and then suddenly out of nowhere Chuck Norris appeared]

    Chuck Norris:"Take em down Seph"

    Seph: "Yes Mr.Norris....:("

    Me: "Thanks Mr.Chuck Norris....:)"

Chuck Norris: "Shut tha fuck up doughboy, I'm not doing it for you, im doing it for the kids"

[And in the distance you could hear Rysi0 scream]

Rysi0: "Ill be back with a new IP address-es-es-es"

I think its because you actually have permission from the owner when you test drive a car

That's what you say to anti piracy organisations, maybe. But I wonder how many people actually buy those games... maybe 1 or 2?
Same goes with pspisoz - "Please delete the files after 24 hours" lol. It's just a masked piracy :p And I'm fine with it this way.

Do I know you? Go fuck yourself, doucheboy.

deleting the files after 24 hours doesnt make it legal, although a lot of romsites say it does. We don't believe in misleading users here.

    So it still is illegal.

    Loony is right.
You have things as Demo's that you can download via the Wii's Nintendo Channel.
Downloading the full game is still playing the game for free.

Well I been here since last year and this will be my first post.
I'd be lying if I said that being able to download NDS roms isn't what first attracted me to this website, but NDS games in general have started to bore me. I didn't even finish Pokemon SS or Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
I don't think that Romulation will die at all. Nor do I believe that NDS roms will be removed from here for very long either.
That is unless Nintendo can take very serious action permanently.
Even Blizzard could not stop piracy on private servers. I doubt that Nintendo is anymore capable.

Please name one case of someone getting sued for pirating games?

Only the MPAA and the RIAA sue people for pirating music and movies only!

And I don't mean someone who pirates a game then burns it and sells it on the street.

    *sigh*

...Then why are you still here then?

TBH, I'm not here for the roms. I'm just here for the forums. Nothing else. Sure I DL a few DS games. But what I really like here is the community.

    No.
