Ha, no illegal files in canada, file sharing is legal here.

It is illegal in Canada to download MP3s and Roms. Who ever told you it's not is lying. Canada has it's own copyright laws, and has agreed to respect international copyright laws through such things as the Berne Convention and the WCT
