The last 3-5 presidents have been utter shit. Obama's the worst. Hillary Clinton is already horrible, and she stated she won't run again if he get's office. Doesn't that tell you something? ;p

But on topic a lil' more...I've been to 5 schools in the last 4 years, all during high school. I now do online schooling for the following reason: 95% of kids in EVERY school I've been to are complete and total dumbasses. Whether they try but can't learn, don't try, don't give a shit...Doesn't matter. Makes me worry about the future of the US, which in the current state, it's going to hell...

What do YOU think the future of the US will be like?

    /discuss

    EDIT: Some more info..

The state of Ohio for a fact has lowered test standards, so it's proof our students are getting dumber... An example of major stupidity, in Dayton, Ohio, someone robbed a bank, and bought a bus ticket as a get away tactic. -.-

Who cares about America's petty issues like how your recent Presidents are not delivering what they promised & your country's current Economy failing!?

There are other more alarming issues happening in the world that you should be more concerned about like:

Japan was devastated by a magnitude 9 Earthquake & a Tsunami & hundreds if not thousands have died because of it.

The uprising in several countries in the middle East.

I mean, really? You're 16 and have probably lived in the same area your whole life. Wait until you're of majority age before you jump on the cynic's bandwagon. Teen angst has a way of making things seem unjustifiably worse than they are.

Whether you like it or not, the US is arguably the world's most powerful nation. Even if the short-term consequences of its condition seem less severe than other current world events, that doesn't make it any less significant.

@Tehuber: I know that the U.S. is still a big influence in world matters but it has since declined its charisma (positive influence) in the last 4 or 5 decades compared to say back in post World War II era.

Heck, I'd be a total hypocrite if I don't admit that like most of my countrymen I still look up to America seeing as they freed *cough* bought *cough* us from the Spanish over a hundred years ago but due to the recent bad decisions made by its leaders America's reputation has fell several notches & if I recall correctly China has taken the title of "most influential" World power from the U.S. .

i wish i had a presidents as dumbass as the US does. man, you guys havent seen worst things. look at south american presidents like Evo Morales, Rafael Correa, those are real dumbasses, doing anything they want with their ideals of 21st century socialism

also, kids may seem as idiots in school and all, but its because of public education in the US. i believe the US is like the 6th country in primary and secondary education, so its not like it has amazing education. but just wait untill university, that is where education really starts for US people

I've always thought the quality of Public Education in the U.S. is fairly good.... well as I said in my earlier post I'm still hung on America.

As for poor quality of Public Education, the state (conditions) of public schools, poverty, over population (the teacher to student ratio in schools here is 50~100 or more students to one teacher), the lack of good teachers (because all the good ones are migrating to other countries to teach there because of better pay :( ), outdated teaching methods & lack of current updated informational material are the biggest reasons why we have a lot of elementary & high school dropouts. As for people who get the chance to go to college & graduate, the lack of jobs is the main reason for un-employment.

For those that can actually afford to go to university, perhaps.

I think its fair to say that the "American Dream" is dead absoltely.

The children in america are lacking morals and good parenting too. Parents cant discipline thier kids without the threat of jail for "abuse" cause apparently if you spank your kids it'll "hurt thier feelings". All the past generations turned out terrible cause they cared about raising thier children rather than being a friend, right?

Doesn't matter if its "charisma" has declined any, it's still the most powerful country in the world with the possible exception of China. Social and economic events can ripple throughout the world from a country that large. Hell, the global recession was driven in the most part by idiot Americans borrowing too much, and the effects of that had large impacts on other economies.
