newer games just seem to be filled with high powered engine and fancy gizmo's and there are hardy any games that acually are good
most of the remakes arn't as good as the original. look at final fantasy IV on the DS. the remake was good but not as good as the original. imean if they are gonna do a remake they gotta make it better than the original. dont just put it in 3d and its done. acually work on it. give it surrounding that make you just wanna stare.
i played the demo for the new monster hunter the other day and the graphic surrounding were just amazing. i would seriously would angle the camera into a good spot and stare at the mountains, forest even the desert looks good. one of the few newer games i'm excited to play.

the crono trigger remake on the ds was good. mainly because they didn't change much from the snes version. its was one of the very few ds games that kept me playin for weeks
i dont like street fighter IV as much as III. the 2D characters were awesome then with IV they made every thing 3D with the classic side scrolling game play. feels weird.
graphics do make games look good but gameplay and sound effects are important aswell. i just hate it when you take out your sword take a swing and theres just a quite swoosh and nothing really showing you hit them. even if the sounds are exagerated like in crisis core. you take a slash and theres a big loud clashing noise with sparks and a blur from the sword when it hits your opponent
and animation. one of my favourite thing in FFVII that made it different from the first one was when you attacked cloud or who ever would run up to the monster and acually hit them unlike in the first ones where they just steped forward abit and a slash would appear over the monster

a full and good remake would be hard to do since you would need to give it the standard of todays games while keeping the feel of the original game

Oh god.. no! Give it a rest with FFVII, I've had enough of Cloud and Sephiroth, the only time I want to see them again is when... I cant think of a reason... I'm that sick of it. 7 wasnt even that good a game.

Nah, that's not right. FF and FFII weren't remade for the PSP, they were remastered. Those remastered versions have nothing on the completely remade versions of FFIII and FFIV on the DS. Matrix Software will handle fixing up FFV and FFVI soonish, within the lifetime of the DS anyway, and they *may* start work on remaking FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX on the DS's successor later down the line.

It doesn't mean that the game will still have the same features when it's remake...
Who knows what are the new features will be added into this game by the Square-Enix....
