OK, so I got the executable & am ready to install

I start the installation & am now on the unattended installation screen, it says to run the setup in the commandline with the commandline parameter makeunattended, what should I do?

why do you want to do an unattended install?

That's what I was asking about, should I just ignore this & proceed?

You were a bit busy so I took a chance, I installed it ignoring that part & it installed normally, I tried playing an rm video I have & it played fine.

Sorry to have bothered you with that loony :-[

I use winamp for my music, and I used to use Media Player Classic for videos, though I recently switched VLC Player. Both MPC and VLC are great, low memory usage, great codecs, etc. I download an aXXo rip in avi divx though, and none of my players recognised the sound strange o.x), not even MPC, so I got VLC. And it works. Yay.

I use Windows Media Player for everything with the K-Lite codecs. I used to use VLC, but it really cut down on the sound quality so I went looking for codecs instead.

What. VLC has integrated codecs that can run everything automatically. VLC should not, in any way, cut down your song quality. If you have a 320kbps song, it's gonna play at 320kbps on either WMP or VLC. The only difference is that your WMP is probably whoring up 4 times as much memory. Yay.

Void you're probably right, I was thinking about it and I don't actually think it was that VLC was cutting down on the quality as much as it wasn't running through the extra EQs that I had setup from other programs, plus it was a few years ago so they could have easily fixed this issue since then. As for it being a memory hog, it doesn't really bother me because everything else still runs up to speed as if it wasn't doing anything while it's running; I've been aware of this for a long time. Also, I just like the UI better, and keep in mind I'm not trying to start an argument here.

    MPC for video.
    foobar2k for audio.

foobar2k's coverflow can beat itunes coverflow easily.

Guys since there a lot of MPC users here, can I ask how do you take snapshots or capture a particular sceen image on MPC?

Whenever I click on "Save Image", an error occurs saying that the player GetCurrent Image Failed hr=8000.. something. When I try the Print Screen method, the image I paste on "Paint" is always not in frame, & closing MPC just shows a blank screen.

I just use iTunes for all of my music, as I purchased a large hunk of music on there a few years ago, meaning that I'm basically stuck to using it, if only because I'm too lazy to figure out a way of making the iTunes purchases compatible elsewhere.

As far as video goes; I don't watch any, meaning that I don't have a dedicated player outside of different website's video services.

It's called Media Player Classic, not Windows Media Player Classic.
