The 8500gt runs perfectly! I never had problems or graphical lagg in any of my games, even in the highest settings!

    my first build just finished:

    NZXT Apollo case
    Biostar MCP6P-M2
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 BE-2400 2.3Ghz
    OCZ Platinum Rev2 DDR2 800 Dual Channel - 2GB
Nvidia Geforce 6150 - old i know but its the onboard i will put in a Geforce 9800GT soon
    Rosewill 450 Watts
    LG DVD Burner GH22NS30
    LG DVD Burner GSA-H55N
    Seagate ST3500320AS - 500GB HDD

    Viewsonic VA1912wb
    Yamaha YST-MS201 Subwoofer + Speakers
    Canon PIXMA iP1800

Hopefully will be upgrading to a 22" Monitor soon and of course a better psu and video card since i'm currently using the onboard that came with the motherboard but i think i'll be able to get a good price on a decent video card on black friday :) other than that this build is working great for me, not a quad core or core2duo but for my needs at the moment, it works great and i'm quite proud of it being my first from the ground up build, i've only fixed up older pcs by adding and taking out parts before building this. :)

the PSU was a poor choice, it is a no-name brand that may well blow up, potentially taking the rest of the computer with it. Additionally it is not powerful enough for a high end graphics card.

yeah i know thats why i'm gonna have to get a better psu once i get the better vid card, and its not really a no name brand, rosewill has made a pretty good name for themselves over at newegg, and this psu got good reviews, i needed something quick so i found a cheap psu with good reviews so to kinda get me going until i figured out which vid card i wanted then get a better psu.

compared to brands such as thermaltake, coolermaster, antec and OCZ, rosewill is a no-name.

most likely will be getting something from one of those companies or ultra since i like their modular design in the future, i have a coolermaster and its really good and reliable, i tend to base a big part of my decisions on reviews since even big names screw up sometimes, and i do not want to wake up and see my pc on fire, some people have had their motherboards fried along with melted cables so i gonna take my time getting a good psu, so right now this psu i have doesn't have a lot of power but from the reviews it wont catch on fire or anything, hopefully :) i might actually get evga 9500gt cause i heard that doesn't even need a lot of power and it runs most new games on medium settings, what do you think about that vid card, i know its not a power house but i think it might be okay.

XFX have notoriously poor warrenty service, so they're great unless you have a problem. Also XFX are one of the most expensive brands.

asus are a reliable company, and some of their products are market leaders.
