Warning!-Fake R4 can Brick your DS!

Would there be a way to unbrick your ds?

 

whoa... anybody know if they are still updating the r4 firmware. i have 1.18 but i have been wondering if they will continue the r4.

 

They still are working on the R4. Only one way to unbrick your DS, by reinstalling the DS firmware, which can only be done by sending it in to Nintendo. But they'd probably ask you how it happened, you can't say "I used a illegal flashcart, which allows me to play NDS games for free". Still, that's if it hadn't blown the fuse or battery or hardware of the NDS as well.

 

Vandalism or not, it's to get their money, just like every other person has been doing out there.

too bad there's no "pandora" for NDS.

 

Where there is a will there is a way! Eventually someone will make one... If there is high enough demand that is...

 

Nope, dealextreme, places like that. Pandora battery aye? Unlikely it would work. Maybe on a flashed DS.

 

Yeah, but there is no point flashing it, that's why they won't make one...
There could be a fixer for the ds but it is unlikely to be made...

 

The R4 is illegal, so if you get a fake one, it's your own fault

 

I'm glad that the fake R4's won't be on the market in the future

 

Maybe you could post a comment with sidder.nl in it, it's a dutch site, have almost all flashcard and ships fast

 

They won't understand it because they are deutch

 

i bet slimy vendors will still sell them because they have no regard for your problems.
however, if every person who is wanting to buy one knows about the fakes then they will probably not stock the fake ones as often because no one will buy them.

however, if people still buy the fakes, they will keep resupplying.

 

-none- of these "mod" companies, like the r4 and others, have any copyrighting on their material? and isn't it a gray area, they make a product allowing others to make products for the ds, being able to use commercial games is just a side effect. right? ??? i'm going cyclo anyway.

edit: when comparison shopping, you always have to be sure of what you're doing. Gotten ripped too many times, it sucks.

 

If they got copyrights and licenses, you think the governments would back it up?

 

don't know for sure. guess not since we're all still here. they don't take action on big stuff doubt they'd take action chasing down piraters of small time company's products.

 

Best not tell the government anything!

 

how do you tell the real R4 from the fake R4?
