I can try and test it in ubuntu, but until then, best of luck on ubuntu and other versions of linux/mac (never actually owned a mac, just toyed with them as a kid)

By the default sprites, I'm assuming you mean the in-game art?

 

Nope, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work in Linux. Don't double post also. No, the default sprites that come with XP, not custom sprites.

OH hehe, thought it was the same day, didn't look at the timedates properly. I uploaded my XP game for my brother who dualboots with suse, and he said it didn't work with it. He doesn't really use it anyway.

oh, I'll be uploading a new version tomorrow, cant upload it right now (dial-up) so I'll do it at school

new link to GOE V 1.2...I didn't feel as if I should raise the version, as I didn't change gameplay at all
I could say the new stuff I did to the game, but thats what the readme is for

it has everything you need in the link, unlike some of my previous links
and as a side note, the previous links no longer work as bugs may be exploited in those versions
I however have copies of each version in case someone can give me a really good reason to see one of them

You don't NEED to download the last one, but it is the readme and I have no sympathy for you if you ask something that was explained in the readme.

Version 1.4 is well under way, with A LOT of new content guaranteed for at least an extra half hour of gameplay

 

Anandjones is going to have a field day when he sees 6 posts in a row (equity petey is shaking in his boots)

i did install the game a while ago but didn't give it much of a go as i'm not to into games like that sorry man but well done to you for the effort

well...my plans for GOE version 1.4 have been....more time consuming then originally thought...
once it reaches Version 2.0 (which will feature about 10 hours of gameplay) I may decide to put a small fee of a dollar or two for all the time and effort spent...>.< which means I will change some character names...so if anyone has any ideas for main character names, do tell. and there will still be a demo release for free of course...but this is far into the future

He used XP, check out the default sprites he used, they come with XP.
