It wouldn't surprise me if the British government were purposely devaluing the Pound in order to soften a conversion to the Euro, it seems to me that they (our beloved government) are all to ready to hand out influence to outsiders in return for power/money. Mandleson is a good example of the definition of sleaze in the British government and has been shown to have been entertaining wealthy men who have interest in using the the power of our government for their own personal gain.
