Turkish plane crashes in the Netherlands!

    Well first of all I think this is very horrible, because I live in the Netherlands, and my nationality is both Turkish and Dutch. There are thus far 9 deaths, 50 injured, from which are 25 badly injured, and 50 people who survived it safely.

    this is actually a fairly good outcome for an air crash, although from a miles between accidents perspective flying is the safest mode of transport, air crashes tend to be the most devastating transport incidents in terms of injuries/loss of life, so for almost half to survive virtually unharmed, and nearly 75% without serious injury, is quite impressive; especially considering the fact the plane broke up on impact (no doubt that contributed to some of the injuries). Having said that, there does seem to have been a surge in the number of aircraft related incidents in the last few months.

    But it is still terrible... And it happened just NEXT to Schiphol!

    9 deaths is low considering the plane broke into 3 pieces,

    very lucky the plane didn't catch fire then

    Plane catched fire I think... A survivor said that "We smelled burn".

    Original: "sol kanadındaki motordan siyah duman geldiğini"

    Which means "some black smoke was rising from the left wing"

    BTW tha company stopped the commercials on the TV's!

    all reports I read stated that the aircraft did not catch fire.

    oh dear when u hear of one plane crash bout 50 more planes just drop out of the skies it happend with other air line compies aswell
