#1 FFVII
#2 The whole Fire emblem series
#3 Luminous Arc 1&2
#4 Soma bringer
#5 can't decide on The world ends with you or Chrono trigger.

The Legend of Zelda is not a Level up game.
It's not an RPG. All the RPG's that I've seen (which I've seen alot) are Level up games.

 

Zelda has it's own unique "leveling up" system.

Don't know what it is? The heart meter ;D

Zelda is not role-playing...

 

I would think that it [Zelda] would be classified as an action-rpg. But if I do that, then I would have to classify Castlevania SoTN as an action rpg as well. It's full of action, and you get to "level up". And as everybody knows, SoTN is just about the best game ever made, period. But that's just my opinion.

What game is Chrono Cross? I kinda want to play it but I don't know on what console it is, could you please tell me?

1. Dragon Quest 8 (PS2)
By far the best RPG I played, great story, great graphics. A classic.

2. Dragon Warrior 3 (NES)

3. Dragon Warrior 4 (NES) and Dragon Quest 4 (NDS), is a lot better on the DS version.
(The whole Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest series is the best)

4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)

5. The Legend of Zelda (NES)

lol but you forgot to add Dragon Warrior/Quest 7 to the list.. it was also a great RPG

although i havnt played many RPG games i'll rate them as i like them ( i havn't played the world ends with you except past the first part)

1: Fire emblem (why hasnt this been mentioned!?)
2:Final fantasy(any of them theres too many of them for me to remember any single one)
3:any pokemon game preferably silver/gold
4:the world ends with you(havnt been able to get past the first part due to glitch in openning)
5:Fantasy star i guess because i havn't played chrono trigger yet plan on it though

 

Odd no one has mentioned suikoden 2 yet?

In my opinion suikoden 2 is better than most Final Fantasy games, aside from having over 108 characters to recruit, it has a solid and deep storyline, great music, tonnes of minigames, ability to combine and attach rune effects, characters can team up to form stronger attacks, the list goes on. To me suikoden 2 was possibly the best RPG I ever played on the Play Station

 

I cant beleive no one mentioned Persona 3!

Katamari Damacy is not an RPG.

 

I dont wanna sound rude, but Chrono Trigger easily shoops da whoop at most games listed here.
