What the PM did isn't peculiar. It's something of an everyday behavior demonstrated by those in authority, and those financially above others. His sort of behavior is one too common reaction, how the have or powerful reacts towards others they look down on or feel are lesser than them. For example; When rich people hears what the less fortunate (financially) relates on how they struggle to meet their daily necessities, their most common initial reaction is to smirk or make mocking face. The only reason those kind of people give donation and does charity work, is for publicity and praising, however deep down, they haven't any empathy or sympathy. Something that the less fortunate knows and realize, but powerless and has to put up with despite knowing these people aren't sincere. That's the bitter fact of life unfortunately.
