You know life is based on the suprise events you run across on a normal, if you could see the future, no more suprise and life wouldnt be as fun

I think you may be confusing two stories together. The Greek drama series that ended with Antigone, I forget the names of the first two, plus I've never read them. But still, I don't think the dude went and talked to a sphinx, although that question does seem familiar. And it's a human. Crawls at the first stage. Walks throughout the second stage. And then a uses a cane for support in the third. It's a timeline of the human growth. Comparing morning to birth, and old age to the evening.

when you kill your own grandfather, you shouldnt existed, but before you killed your own grandfather, you are still exist. so logically thinking, when you when back into time to kill your own grandfather, you will disappear the moment you did. so you still can change the past and by changing the past, you change the future (in this case, your father's bloodline never existed, so you effectively erase your self).

actually if you go back in time and kill your grandfather then you will have never been born in which case you cant go back and kill your grandfather and therefore it is impossible to go back and kill your own grandfather

Here's a question that'll end the grandfather paradox for sure. Why go back and kill your grandfather? What'd he ever do to you?

Personally, I'd go back and tell my dad to invest in wal-mart, heheh.

but like i say before you kill your grandfather, you still existed which allow you to travel back in time to kill him in the 1st place, by doing so you created a new future where you didnt exist so i belive you still disappear the moment you killed your grandfather is the logical solution because IF you said you cant go back in time to kill your grandfather because you never been born isnt what happen currently, currently, you still existed.

When you kill your granpa you automaticcaly killed your existence. So if a yet-to-exist being kills an existing being, that would prove contradicting because if that which is yet-to-exist eliminates the cause of his existence then that would also eliminate the action of "killing granpa". So there maybe i scene where you are able to kill your granpa but it maybe followed by a scene were you did not kill your granpa.

yes because that is the new future you have created by killing your grandfather. since he already dead (killed by you) effectively erasing your father and you, therfore you cant go back in time to kill him but this only happen after you killed him, not before.

so if you killed him..that would make you non existent. and something non existent cannot kill something existing.

to make thing more clear, lets put it this way....

    1. In the past your grandfather lives, which lead to future where you are born, we call this future, Future A.
    2. You from Future A when back to the past to kill your grandfather.
    3. By killing your grandfather, changing the future where you existed (Future A) into a future which you didnt existed we call this Future B
    4. Since Future A is now replace by Future B, therefore your didnt existed but your grandfather is still dead in Future B

Which means that you have created a new dimension. you can still Exist in Future B, but you will have no records that you exist. Its like your identity has been stolen and can't be traced.

well unless we are using many world theory, i dont think so, because how do you exist in the world where you didnt exist? thats why i said you disappear (erased) as soon as your grandfather die.

The way I see it is if you killed your grandfather, assuming you will go "poof", in order to prevent a paradox ol pops will stay dead, because you probably used some form of weapon and the weapon that killed him would still exist.

Or nothing happens because your father/mother has already been conceived

You are absolutely right. If a time machine really exist and successfully lets you travel in time, mostly in the past...it could really affect the present like the film back to the future.

i though the development of nuclear bombs and the assault on japan with them were a more important lesson then the slaughter of jews. the development of the bomb itself is evidence that we are capable of wiping out our own species.

you can only change the future. the past is the present and the present is the moment.
