Things You Hate About Video Games

This is in response to you guys who think Princess Peach should start getting off her little mushroomy tushie & start defending herself.

Actually there were two instances where she does do her fair share of fighting:

1. In Super Mario RPG she joins forces with Mario & Bowser to save the land.

2. Wasn't she the star of her own neat little game? Super Princess Peach?

Three are two other instances as well:

1. In that lame Super Mario Bros. USA game which was a torn down & reprogrammed Doki Doki Panic! game, Princess Peach is a selectable character who can float in the air for several seconds.

2. In a bootleg Taiwanese NES ROM Titled Kart Fighter, Princess Peach is also a selectable fighter, though her design sure looks like a badly cropped Chun Li look a like.

 

Which brings me to yet another two things I hate about Game Developers/Publishers &/or Licensors:

1. Games being censored just because the localizing company (mostly Nintendo) "felt" certain elements of a game are not Politically Correct or sensitive to children.

2. Modifying a game so it will resemble another product just so they can cash in on another game or a licensed character's sucess. Besides Doki Doki Panic! turning into Super Mario Bros. 2 when it landed in the US & Europe, a GBC Game, Elevator Action EX was dressed up as Dexter's Laboratory: Robot Rampage when it landed on the US & Europe

That's what you call an ubernoob, they try super hard and one little taste of victory and they get all in people's faces...
I also hate the fact that some people kill their own team members, sometimes they just pick one of the team out and it always seems to be a noob or a 'pro' who does it to an average gamer...

 

Guild Scammers, people who "invite" you into their guild for an asking prize (example they'd let you join if you pay 1,000 game money), but after you pay the fee they'll imediately kick you out & block your attempt to communicate with them & complain. I've never fell for their dumb scams though.

 

Pay to join a guild? Well that's a waste... Guilds are meant for simple fun with other members... An elitist guild can't be too fun...
Yeah, elitists I hate them... They think they are better than everybody else...

 

Another "weakness" of MMORPGs, the online mailing system, I've read alot of pople having had their accounts hacked by assholes because they were able to fool people into giving their username (log in name) & passwords to them via the mailing system masquerading as the Game Moderators sending fake "You won XX but must give us your info" mail.

 

Well that's stupid... A moderator has the ability to warp to any place on the game and sometimes even initiate trade without permission

 

Yeah that's true, that & several people are extremely gullible, as they say:

There's a sucker born every minute.

 

Yeah, I hate how super noobs will do anything people tell them too... They should be helped not robbed...

 

i know some idiots that did that to a poor guy his first time on a mmorpg game

 

I don't care about whats wrong with them... I don't play them. I don't hate them.. I just hate what they do to people.

 

I hate when people call a game character out as a rip-off of another game character when it's blatantly obvious that the character they're criticizing has been around WAY longer.

Example: I was playing Metroid Prime once, and I was doing this puzzle in Morph Ball mode. As soon as I turned back into Samus, and this one dude saw Samus and was like "OMG! Nintendo has ripped off Master Chief!"

 

when i get to a certain level it freezes

 

when you get stuck in the game (literally get suck inbetween something and cant get out) and have to restart the whole level. or when you need to wait for a patch for the game to work right, yes im talking to you spider man web of shadows!

 

They are risky when used overdose.
They create NERD's.

 

To tell the truth i havent found a game more fun than the old sierra games(police quest,Lesure suit larry,Kings quest and space quest)
games arent for gamers anymore is for the common person and the avarage yuppie that can actually afford to fork out $100 - $250 on a game
