I wouldn't care if a game was snake level graphics as long as it plays well.....it would actually be awesome.

I can't stand short games. When i shell out my hard earned cash for an RPG, i want to be glued to it for atleast a month, not finish it in 5 days with every quest done and nothing left to do, than to kill ALL NPCs. In example Oblivion and Gothic 3.

I also hate games that have those anti-piracy measures, like register online or you won't be able to play. My PC at isn't connected to the net, so that's a huge problem for me.

Also the developers should shove their funky/uber/cool/whatever graphics up their butts. If i want to see something nice i look in the mirror. But when playing games i WANT replayability, gameplay and difficulty.

But i guess i can't force the masses to play Rogue-like games.

i hate the over emphasis on realism in some newer games(stares angrily at dusty gta4) it takes alot of the fun out of games. i guess my point is that i play video games to escape reality laugh my ass off a little bit(or crap my pants depends on the game) and have some fun not go to a completely realistic virtual world where cops chase you for speeding and other stupid crap and cars handle like they do in real life. i think this has really surfaced in this generation of gaming and has in my opinion ruined several promising games

or whats even worst is when the people who have attitudes towards people who play games make their attitude well known on a video game forum........

Or what's even more worse than that is when people have attitudes towards people who have attitudes towards people on a forum who makes their attitude wll known towards people with an attitude towards people who play games and talk about it :p

    now i'm just lost
but i remembered one biggie, and that is lack of save points! i remember many games where you can only save at specific save zones, especially annoying if they're not exactly close to each other in terms of progress and such

I hate random encounters for rpgs

    I hate region lock

Both of those problems are in FFX ¬.¬

    I don't like FFX :p

I hate how some localized games are too cheap to get good voice actors, they always sound over dramatic and unnatural (like Rune Factory and Luminous Arc series)

    Thought so...
    And Luminous Arc is awesome!

    Anyways...
I dislike slow scenes that you can't skip like Star Ocean for example... One scene was 15 minuites long...

I hate it when developers shirk on combat. A 1 player game should NEVER been point-and-click combat. Ever.

Also, bad voice acting, Real Time gameplay, unplayable bugs, CTD Bugs, unbalanced gameplay, games that are TOO long to do the main story line (if you're trying to go through asap), games where you control 30135195913591359 different characters, games with unlovable main/support characters, games that spawn memes, games where the bad guy is all powerful, then beaten by three swords, games where my sword is too dull to kill another human in 100 swings and I'm apparently shooting peas and bits of paper out of my gun, games where the opening sequence is far overdone and doesn't resemble the game in any way, games where my character is half man half refrigerator and I can take an entire tank to the face and still run around and set a C4 on it, games where I need a manual to remember all the stuff I can do (nethack -.-), bla bla bla I could go on.

big list man, and i agree with many if not all of them
games that give nothing but encrypted hints as to what you're supposed to be doing

Oh, that to! Man I hate crap like that. Puzzle/adventure games always have some logic that only the game designer can understand. Example: Try to beat RE1 without a strategy guide.

    -=EDIT=-

Example 2: Castelvaina 2: Simon's quest. How are you supposed to know the stakes are for the orb, or to crouch in a corner for 30 seconds for a magical tornado to come and take you away?!?

    Castlevania is an odd game...

What I don't like is when games don't make sense like with Dante and his love interest; she tries to kill him and she blows up his place but he's still interested in her... What the hell?

I beat Resident Evil 1 with all endings without any cheats nor Walkthroughs (I didn't have access to the internet back when the PSOne was still around), just with my brains. What the puzzle elements stumped you? They weren't that difficult you know ;D

Only one survival horror game's puzzle ever stumped me & that's the safe from Parasite Eve 2, the one on the storage room on top of the lodge, that's because the clues to the combination were very vague.

About Castlevania 2, when that baby came out we had Nintendo Power Magazine to guide us ;D

By the way, the tornado only gets summoned when you get the red crystal & it's not really 30 seconds, it's less than that.

Anyway, do you want the pass key that gives you every item in game & has your healthbar really high?

    It's:

    ONWU AQAU
    Z12S S4QA

However this will give you the bad ending, you see the ending you get depends on how long you play the game. You know the in-game clock? Doesn't it show "days" as part of it's time frame? Well if you finish the game under six "days" you get the best ending. Six days to 12 days, the not so good ending (the one where Simon dies) & beyond 12 days, the bad ending.

The one where you had to place the shotgun in the hole and get the gem to put in the hole bla bla something like that.

Also, on simons quest, isn't each day about 5-10 minutes? So... beat the game in an hour?
