    Yes, since it's only me who don't have a good signature among them......

    Re: The Signature Thread

    I'm a fan of minimalism, so I guess I'll see how much I can squeeze out of my current sig.

    [IMG]

    All it is is a photograph I took in Yellowstone. I turned it into black and white, resized it, added some text with the Overlay filter, and a one pixel thick black border. The blank space above the text is taken up by the clouds that go across the entire upper half of the frame, so it isn't completely wasted. Then, of course, the left quarter to third of the sig is filled with the burnt tree, with some space to the left and right so it's not cramped. The font is also thin and elegant, and doesn't intrude harshly into the image the way some bolder fonts do. Also, making the entire image black and white eliminates the need to find colors that go well together, and to me, matching colors is pretty frustrating. Therefore, I can just focus upon the geometry and placement of elements.

    Okay, I made the thing in like five minutes. I did not consider all of that "aesthetics" mumbo jumbo. ::)

    Well i think sigs are something personal, so you do them the way you want. Sometimes simple ones are fine.

    As for mine they're still far from perfect, as i'm learning how to balance effects.

    Here is a tweaked version of a sig i posted earlier. On this one i've been working on perspective effect by turning my background into a wall (and as nex26 suggested, i put my name off-center and added some graffiti for it to look less plain).

    This is the last one i've done. I tried to do some mist effect, but i don't think it works well ^_^;

    What I do when I get bored. I'm a bit annoyed about the minor jags on a couple of the vectors (brushes don't seem to take well to rotation), but all in all I'm quite pleased.

    Re: The Signature Thread

    the text doesn't blend with the background and it's in a very bad position, the big render isn't blured as it should be and the sparks are useless and you should have a border.
