It's because he's doing things like bevelling his sigs that make it look nicer
Bevelled sigs are nicer than flat sigs

Exactly what I thought. It was very good but the typography needs some work. It'd be a killer if it's done right.

lol nex, I got nothing else to say... Umm, I guess you could try putting text into your sigs now I cant think of anything it looks fine to me

The mewtwo looks better in the first one
The background looks better in the last one
Ya see the colours look great on mewtwo in the first but in the second the colours and background interrupt with it

RED Never have sharp brushing over a render, it destroys the focal.

YELLOW The dark brushing goes against the rest of the flow, always make sure brushing goes in one direction.

The text is too long, isnt using the rule of thirds, and the font is horribe... I know it's the pokemon one, but it looks awful when the middle is empty.

Embossed border looks cheap and tacky, it almost never works and it just looks noobish.

btw.on the beveling border. yes plain black borders are simple, but it gets the job done neatly. Bevel borders look a little messy.

Because of the background, I think it would look better in colour to distinguish it better.
Also I don't like the zig zags, it makes her hand look weird and a part of the background.

I like your backgrounds and renders but nothing really matches in that mewtwo sig. Maybe you could try other ways of blending renders than making them transparent because they are conficting in most of your sigs imo.

very decent, but i'd say it looks a bit messy on the bottom right and under the spiderman text and the render is a little too mixed with the background. but it still looks good

lol thanks for the critique. I am not too adamant on sig making and so I just do random stuff without clear destination. just something for my little spare time.

and thank god you changed your avatar. your last one looked like Ussop trying to become pac-man. it disturbed me lol
