This is the core problem with programs such as photoshop; 'use it, or lose it'. You have to use them a lot to build up and maintain your skill in using them.

    Re: The Signature Thread

I havnt really had time for sigs between all of my uni design work, a sig is so limited in range that they dont need a lot of skill to look good. Someone new at making sigs can make something just as good as anything I can do. Most of my work these days is designing corporate IDs, magazines, newsletters, brochures ect.

    Re: The Signature Thread

I would like to request a signature.

I would like someone to make me a Etna/Laharl signatue. I would like my username in it. And that's all for now. Be creative. Oh, and if you don't mind whomever decides to do it, make a few for me to choose from. That way I can rotate between the signatures. Thanks.

i'll give it a go but with anime (i'm guessing) if its one i've not seen i'm not really sure what i'm looking for so if you can post some pictures or links to them that you like then i can render them.

also to be honest mishy you can make sigs as good as i can make but anyway get me the pics and i'll have a go.

    Edit:

i had a bash, i don't know if this was the type of thing you were looking for

the fractals are from planetrenders.com, i used the ones with transparency and put a solid background behind them, i also fiddled a bit with opacity and erase and layers.

    Re: The Signature Thread

Gotcha. Maybe I should do that. I've tried using GIMP to make my fractals but mine sometimes "fuzzies" or something after put them on a fresh layer. And even with inverting the selection to clean it up, it still seems to erase the fractals anyway.

    Re: The Signature Thread

CJ's style of making sigs is unique, he may not make fancy & sophisticated sigs like equity & Almo, but he's are cool in their own. Take the one he made for my sig request, it looks like an I.D. card or exclusive members' card, simple but sweet.

CJ you should still enter just for the experience and challenge of being given the render and working it in to your own skill level.
its not about winning its the taking part and seeing the variation in peoples sigs.
