If you're referring to the Sign being too squished in together, for the record I intentional made it that way. Really, it's just the background.

    Re: The Signature Thread

Alright B2K, if you want my honest opinion, I'd say the background you used for your sign seems to darken the face of the character in the foreground a bit too much, and the text seems a little too blended into the background. Other than that, it's great. I don't see anything that needs to be changed with your avatar, you've had it forever and I like it the way it is. :D

I like the shadow job you did on the character. The text looks like it was painted on with a paint brush on Windows Paint to me, but other than that it looks good, great job!

    It's blurred.

Though the render you chose this time for it looks a lot better, the old one did not fit well with the scan lines.

Also B2K, you made that one a long time ago, it's pretty bad :p

I have sigs turned off in the forums because of my shit connection, post your sig here for me B2K so I can see.

    Also...

Im pretty sure that render is completely out of proportion, try constraining proportions when resizing things so you dont f*** them up. If you do that in the real world with a logo you dont get payed, and you get sued lol.

That big romulation.net text across the bottom is pretty darn ugly too.

That's default font for you. :) I tried to use a Metal Gear Solid font I downloaded from DaFont, but I have no clue how install it with GIMP.

    Re: The Signature Thread

all fonts no matter what program are read from the font folder C:/windows/fonts

i think just sticking your font in there should work or you can go to file and "install new font" when your in the above mentioned place

    Re: The Signature Thread

Yes, I've already installed the font in my Windows folder, that didn't seem to do anything. There's a "reload font list" button in GIMP as well, but again it didn't do anything. Maybe I need to put the font somewhere in the GIMP directory folder.

adding it to your windows fonts should work fine, if not then something strange is going on.

Be careful adding too many fonts to windows as itll slow down opening programs to a crawl. If you intend to use many fonts (ive got 150,000 fonts, not that I use them all) then look up a decent font manager, I use Suitcase for windows.

do remember that you'll have to restart the program for the new font to show up in most cases.

    Re: The Signature Thread

I have another signature request, but this time it isn't meant to be used here on RomUlation.

I joined the local forum for the MMORPG Flyff & I kinda want to advertise RomUlation to the people there ;D

So I went & took a picture of my level46 Magician & kinda want you guys to put it on a nice signature with my username on it as it is also my username where ever I go & in the game as well. Now I want to have something like "I just flew in from RomUlation.net" (or something more catchy) be on the sig as well so as to advertise the site & it would be great if "RomUlation" was made up of the main site's actually design which has Rom in yellow font while ulation is in white to make it more directed at the site :).

And yeah just like with my sig that equity did, my trademark colours are green & purple.

The Signature size MUST BE a maximum 555x290 pixel for the picture including the text & in jpeg format only, as stated from the local forum's rules.

    Now for my in-game character:

Unh... crap I think the picture's a bit big sorry, but I know you guys can do something good with it.

    Re: The Signature Thread

bigger is actually better for source files because it means less quality is lost during the editing and composition of the sig.

    Thanks loony :)

But let me tell you guys, being in that local forum is such a hard pill to swallow. Sure we communicate in Filipino so understanding each other is easier, but that place has no "no to SMS & L33T speak policy" :p Everyone INCLUDING the Admins & Moderators use SMS, it's a major pain, plus they do pick on newbies in the forum, except for me as I'm all prim & proper with good Grammar ;D . I only posted like 20 or so posts there, & most of the people who replied to them were kinda intimidated saying things like I should lighten up on the grammar. But in response I put up that animated GIF of the "no to L33T speak" banner I used to see alot here on RomUlation ;D

The good effect of hanging around the likes of Born2killx ;)
