mishy your avatars are pretty nice this one's the best:

sigs seem a little empty, and the renders are under-contrasted.

I kind of wanted to keep them a bit simple, I like simple. ;)

And I overlayed the gradient, or maybe multiplied them...Some of them I did that or Saturation. I can't remember, but I did use those when making the signatures. :)

That's really good Ihaw! A border would make it better though!

I agree... add a border, and the textures would look great!

Oh I meant to ask how do you blend textures...or make them look good, cause I want to try something different for a background.

    Re: The Signature Thread

err... my sig already have a border. it's 1px white border on every side. maybe i'll make the illuminated border next time for the sake of white forum. i didn't use texture either. ^_^;;; just some brushing and editing(smudging, blurring, etc).

    Re: The Signature Thread

I can see the border. Not a bad sig at all, though dont like the text. Try using a different font for a start. Also when using a stroke on text make a duplicate of the text layer, put the text on top, then put the same text layer underneath and use the stroke on that bottom layer instead, that way the stroke doesnt eat into the font and destroy the type face. Sounds confusing but give it a go and youll see what I mean.

Haha; I remember how he tore it to shreds!

    ..
i know what i mean with the stroke. i actually can make better text if i want to, but i want to try using system fonts. if i succeeded in using it beautifully, i gained another level. =D

you sure get better. take note what almo said in the other thread(like background and texts). i actually thought that the left 'ice' image is a bit blurry. you might want to use sharpen tools at it. or, when you resize the image to smaller size, hold shift.(i assume u use photoshop). it will be better, coz that might be the reason why it a bit blurry. ^^ get some tutorials, practice them.

    Much better!

Well I tried something different although I had to use microsoft paint because paint.net was acting up...; paint.net only opened and saved images so I changed this to a PNG:

    Re: The Signature Thread

Let me be blunt. It sucks. The red text overlaps with the text at the bottom and is hard to read where it overlaps with the orange background. The "ALL YOUR BASE" text looks left-aligned. Where it says CJDOGGER, it's closer to the bottom than the top, and it would look better if it was higher up several pixels.

As for coollent: You do know it's spelled coolant, right?
