Yeah I use "torrentz" too, and its not all that bad.. Although I do have GIMP :p

Dont feel bad though, i was told to use advanced programs like GIMP and PS just like you.. I use to use MS Paint myself

the only reason most of us suggest PS is because you can get much better results and do more.
ok it is hard to start with but with the use of a few tutorials and a bit of messing about it takes no time at all to become moderately good.

GIMP and PS are about equal in capabilities, the most obvious difference is the learning curve.

Okay, but i'm still not using torrents, I'm going to get some freeware that's probably not as good as PS but better than paint...

Yeah, the ones tagged with the author's name, you usually just erase it.

    Those ones i googled.
Use Paint.NET it's basically photoshop but without a few functions which you can easily get plugins for.

    Re: The Signature Thread

Yeah same thing for me when i started.. But then I got the hang of it and im using it well now.. its not annoying anymore, but if you still have the same feeling for it, try Paint.net.. I didnt feel right using Paint.net, so i used gimp and i stayed at gimp.... But whatever you want to use is up to you

    Re: The Signature Thread

GIMP's Interface is a bit lacking (features and options are misplaced) so that's why most people use the more-friendly Paint.NET.
