finally reading some tuts... that ones not bad, though looks like some of the fractal is covering the renders face which makes it a little hard to see, id erase the fractal from over the face and head area with a soft brush to sharpen it a little and ad a focal point to the render.

dont like the second one at all.

You could try lowering the opacity of the patten and make the changing a bit slower (i use 1.2), other than that it looks great.

Almo do you think this ones a bit better? I tried for ages and really like the render.

I have a problem, for my game reviews, I made a 'Game of the month award' gif, but I can't seem to get the white background out, even though I made it transparent in photoshop... It is below:

just one question are you making the renders your self and the backgrounds cause although they do look good it looks like you have just taken then from somewhere like planet renders.

I take some renders from planet renders, but I also make my own, which is a pain. But I have a nice balance of both made renders and those from planet renders.

i don't make my background, can't be bothered half the time but i do do all my own renders

He takes his renders from other places I hate doing renders as they all look fuzzy around the edges and they always look shit.

No i don't usually get my own characters, but i have before. I have ripped sprites and found that hard work.

Where did you get the pictures of shadow from Mark? Planet Renders suck, I looked for good renders of shadow but the only good ones I found were tagged in the picture (Render by...), I'm trying to do a shadow sig because i've just completely finished the shadow game and loved it! And does anybody know good places to get background renders?
