I did that once. One of the best times I've ever had. I think it's time for me to pull out the horror games again...

F.E.A.R. has to be the one game that has kept me tensed up for almost all the way through it. If you haven't played it already I suggest you get a copy, turn the lights off, headphones up and after youve played it, a new pair of underpants. I can't wait until the new one on ps3 is out, it looks like it is intense also, plus it looks like it'll make good use of the ps3 specs.

Silent Hill 2 is without question the scariest most disturbing game for me. Pyramid Head is the most terrifying creature I've ever seen.

When i play Silent hill (any of them) i always turn of my radio and flashlight it's a good method if you don't have time to fight monsters, it also saved me a lot of health packs ^_^

I agree with Crimson, Silent Hill is effin scary, I refuse to play it at night in the dark! the only other game that ever really scared the cow dung out of me was Doom3, that game was freaky! you couldn't use your flashlight and gun at the same time which was annoying as hell cuz you'd have to blind fire into the dark at some fugly creature which was attempting to eat your lower intestines!

yeah it was too dark in places, I got so lost I had to use wireframe mode to avoid going around in circles in one area.

Nah silent hill has honestly become boring to me. The first one was good, the ones that came later seemed repetitive and at times quite predictable. And also, i dont see what is so scary bout F.E.A.R. they use the same ol' pop out of the closet concept that resident evil did. Sure it may be shocking but scary? nah

F.E.A.R and Resident Evil likely my most scariest games till now. They don't make these type of games now, Do they ?

    F.E.A.R

Other game that gives me the creeps, not because it's scary, but for the twisted concept it was built is ManHunt

I'm not really a fan of terror games. Actually, the only I've played that i find kinda scary is Resident Evil 4, but only when you get to the Regenerators part. That scared the shit out of me.

Resident Evil (the original and the remake)
    Resident Evil 0
    Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3 (still pretty good but not as scary as the others)
Resident Evil 4 was NOT scary....
    F.E.A.R was good....
Eternal Darkness was mess with your head scary..
The Thing was another good one...

yes, Yes, YES, and HELL YES.

Fatal Frame is the best for me. Its like a cross between pokemon snap and resident evil.

Agreed, I recently finished the first one, and I'm currently playing through the second one right this minute.

They're scary in a few ways I think, mainly because it's so messed up, and it messes with your mind.

The fact that it's first person, so things can jump you from behind.

Also the fact that it's a fight for survival, not just "I have this huge machine gun! *BUDADADADADA* Everythings dead.", you have to fight with freakin' table legs, or whatever else you can scavenge from the environment.

mm I am a sucker for scary games, I tried to play fatal frame at night with 2 other people. We didn't even make it IN the village, just walking around the forest and it scared us to bits everytime the controller rumbled. When we actually bucked up and went in, go the camera and started to play. We gave up when we started walking down the hall, it was empty but the tension was too high. Haven't touched that game since. haha

I have heard of this one recently: Mite wa Ikenai (roughly means Don't look)
It's going to be on the DS and so far I think you examine paranormal pictures. I saw a screenshot of one picture. It scared me to bits. I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME >.< I hope a rom will be avalible for it :D

Also Radical Dreamers has very creepy music and graphics. The supposed SNES sequel to Chrono Cross.
