Okay it's so nice to hear about the gold version, but unfortunatelly i have no money for ps3 and xbox games, so i have the pc version (Yeah at least this game is better on pc than consoles, of cource, depending on your pc's power), so i think that i gotta wait for it too, if they don't launch a pc version, it'll be bad, but that's okay.
And Chris' Warrior costume is based on a old film starred by Mel Gibson called MAD MAX.
The clothing isn't similar to his, but is very similar to the enemies on the film and the sawed off shotgun on the extra tell it, well who have seen MAD MAX know what I'm talkin' about.
And Crimson089, we that own pc version have all these costume already on the disk and we also can customize their order, and if your monitor can stand the frequency...you can also play re5 with 3d glasses and see the effects of it!
And also our Mercenaries mode have more enemies than the consoles, due to the processor of the pc.

I wanna beat it, and see the character's player models and see Jill's model hehehe those that know the scandal of her "bug" know what I mean hehehe.

    And damn...
They shoulda make the PS1's version remaked to the PC/PS3 and XBOX 360, a remake using all latest features and high technology.

The ps1's are all about the classic feel, straight ports, plus it's cheaper this way...

The first resident evil got a remake on gamecube/wii (I have the cube one :D) which is quite enjoyable...if you want a total re-envisioning of 2, CV and a back story to RE 4 then get dark side chronicles (a light gun shooter on wii) since it's those games, rolled together...with re done segments like the relationship between Alexia and Alfred (which i hated :( ).

Oh...and you can convert the ps1 versions to work on a psp, or just buy them from the american psn, not that expensive...exact ports of the originals so don't expect much new.

no thanks, no need to ruin a perfectly good resident evil game with crappy RE4 and RE5 engine.

    Your too judemental...

I played the "lost in nightmares" chapter in resident evil 5 gold edition...it plays like the older games (ammo minimal, enemies are menacing, and even the camera angle can be changed to classic view :) )

It's preety good, but it's too short to justifiy the rest of the game (especially with your views).

It'll only be graphically, and they won't remake the first game AGAIN (the first one got a re make already...).

If they do it'll retain the same gameplay, just beefed up graphics (I like re 5's graphics-just the action orientated focus put me off at first).

You should try dark side chronicles...it's good but they changed too much of the story in the code veronica section ...

Alexia kills her loving brother Alfred-WTF THEY LOVED EACH OTHER!

It's cheaper, with a G card Voodoo 3 you can run it XD.
I wanna see a remake, with all horror feeling, but using today's resourses.
I don't have Game Cube or Wii, they're very expensive in my country due that they're infamous, I've tried once the Dolphin Emulator, but the games are heavy for downloading.
I don't have PSP forsame reason that I don't have GC and Wii, I've got EPSXE 1.7.0 emulator for PC, I can run game svery cool.
I have all PSone and PS2 versions, and RE5 in PC.
All I want is a good remake of the firsts games.
Who mentioned RE4's engine at first place?
    Why is these engines crappy?
I meant RE5's Engine, it have good physics, shadows, lightsand color real good, can do a survivor-horror style as well.
By judging your post, you dunno a thing about engines, explain the why (exept RE4's engine for the remake).
Now someone undeerstand what I'm saying, not like calvin_0 that say a thing without a reason, a explanation.

All except versus (which is online multiplayer) and leader rank boards are disabled...but everything works fine.

    Beat those all offline.

want my reason? check my older post. its basically explain my hate to RE4 and RE5.

the though of remaking the best RE game with crappy RE4 and RE5 engine make me sick.

oh, you want to know why i mention RE4? its sucks thats why. RE4 and RE5 is the worse RE game ever made. even the Code Veronica Arcade is more RE then RE4 and RE5.

The graphics part you mentioned is utter bullshit, the older games (excluding code veronica) were premade backgrounds barley using any graphic power (even the remake of the first on gamecube/wii, while amazing, used pre-rendered back drops).

I think you dislike the action based forcus of re4 and 5, I can't blame you for 5...but 4 had a perfect balance to me personally.

And code veronica was just an experiment to achieve what they did in re 4 and 5...as for your comment about arcade...are you THAT pissed to say that about arcade (though I am planning on getting the ps2 port some day ::) )

(In the end that's your opinion though-I only dislike the action focus on 5 and the way the story goes like a Hollywood movie where it's all in your face, unlike the older RE games were they gripped you).

I never mention anything about graphic in my post >.>

    so where you get that?

yes, the core reason i hate the new RE so much..... its basically House of the Dead with RE character... but i think you already getting sick of hearing me rant about that.

no, i said even the Arcade version of Code Veronica (it is basically Gun Survivor version of CV), it is still more RE then RE4 and RE5.

    Graphics part...

Seems I might have used the wrong word...

Here is the thing, same EXACT system is used, just the world isn't fixed by a camera, play desperate escape (a dlc level of 5) and you can switch the camera to old school re...and it proves what I'm saying.

And I seen bits of the CV Arcade game, it's just like the first survivor game...it's not that great though (I liked the first survivor more despit eit being under-rated).

And house of the dead is light gun based, if anything the entire survivor games AND the chronicle games are the games you'd hate the most (first person shooting-like house of the dead).

Are you sure that is the Engine?
Y'know you can make a adventure game using shooter game's engine, the engine by itself is modificable/moddable.
Can turn the 3rd person old style if wanted.
The engine is like a 0 (zero), can be many diferent games.
Every system is moddable my friend, Capcom can make old school RE using the latest engine (RE5's) if they want.

And playing "lost in nightmares" is proof of this, it includes an option to change the camera, not that most of the action suits this.

I wonder if people have bothered to make mods for resident evil yet :)

Looks good...running zombies...but no download links to the patch...or what it's even for...pc or ps1?

Whatever the case, it's only re1, if they did re5 maybe calvin would be impressed :)

After more research, it seems the game updates have stopped in november 2009, and nothing has been released...and it's the only known mod.

    Fail :(

i like resident evil the early ones were annoying because when the camera moved the way you moved whith the sticks changed and i got stuck moving between camera angles though i prefer l4d better

Wrong, if you kept the stick held during screen transitions you'd be moving still, if you changed directions then the confusion sets in, it's meant so your moving as you see on screen, not the "kinetic" feel most game do.
