I managed my ammo well in RE4. Maybe because I specialized my pistol type weapon, and used only 9mm rounds. I held unto the R9, and upgraded it fully. MmM. If I remember correctly, I always had a rocket launcher in my arsenal just in case a boss comes along. Other than that, I never had to use the knife.
There are no 3.5 assests on the GC version of RE4 AFAIK, just a debug menu with some weird features. The whole concept of 3.5 was dropped out in favor of DMC for the ps2, so you could find something there, but the chances are awfully slim, considering 3.5 was being developed for the GC instead of the ps2, thus it used a different engine, unlike RE1.5 and RE2, wich used the same. Didn't Mikami himself envision the original Biohazard as a first person shooter, and changed it because they couldn't make it scary enough like that at the time (if that's really the case, this'd explain the bloody Survivor and Chronicles series)? Here's a link to survivhor's article on it http://www.survivhor.com/RE1/BETA01/INTRO/index.html. Then again, I can't read french, so I dunno what's actually written there, but I do recall a discussion on The Horror Is Alive about it some time ago.
Yeah i know about the beta of BOHAZARD, but i mean the BIOHAZARD final version of it, that we all know. And DMC for ps2 have just few stuff as bullet capsules, piece of HUD. And since i didn't played GC, i just tough, y'know, hopefull Less than RE 1.5 in RE 2. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ By da way, if y'all wanna hear voice actors from resident evil characters as Alyson Court (Claire Redfield) go here: http://residentevil.com.br/revilcast/edicoes.php And to hear original track go on: Entrevista com Áudio Original - Alyson Court Interview [ 8 MB / 128 Kbps ] Download MP3. It's a site from my country, so maybe hard to travel, just scroll down the page and look carefully.
Well, the Biohazard 4 we know today is Mikami's brainchild, the previous versions known as 3.5 were directed by Hiroshi Shibata, so I guess the series took the course he wanted it to take anyways. As for Bio 5, for as much of a joke it was, it was necessary; it ended the current story arc after all. It just had to happen, regardless of Mikami's involvement. Hopefully a bloody reboot is @ hand now. BTW... Glad to see another brazillian compatriot 'round ;D!
lol! i use suplex to conserve ammo, and head shots are really helpful too. aww resident evil 4 days i'm sort of missing it >_< i don't use rocket launchers cause it kills the challenge, i just hold on to my sniper rifle, grenades and shotgun. the easiest boss for me would have to be ramon salazar, his moves are quite predictable. saddler is quite hard to deal with at the professional mode. krauser is the most fun boss for me ^__^.
At the start I had no idea what I was doing. For a good challenge the hand canon is a good weapon, even fully upgraded...slow reload speeds. I used rockets on salazar, I got his movements down but my slow reaction times meant I was getting really annoyed. Krauser was fun... I never tried professional mode, or anythign past normal (yeah i suck ) but I did beat mercenaries mode to get the hand cannon... Super salvador...now THAT was a beast! (I even had 2 at once for some reason...I was in sheer terror...I killed them both only for a weaker enemies cheap shot of dynamite )
I don't believe it! You brazilian too man? __________________________________________________________________________ As in resident evil 4, the best way is to save ammo as mutch as you can, by for example, climbing at stairs and waiting los ganados climb it, soi when they're near, you use knife against 'em, also in the begining, shot in the head, since there thery won't turn in that headless verm. Shooting at legs can be good, the same is for resident evil 5. Oh man, almost one year that i don't play resident evil 4, in professional difficulty. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ By da way, if is there anyone that also play grand theft auto san andreas, look at this mod: GTA BIOHAZARD ALERT The link of a video of this mod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD-zL3NRXnY
Yep! Damn nice to see someone else from here hanging 'round! The stair trick is quite handy in other Biohazards too, like Rebirth (REmake)! But I'd say that the best way to save ammo is to get used to the knife. With some serious practice, one can knife most enemies without the need to stun them beforehand. As for Bio 5, I played it the trigger happy way and never ran out of ammo. It was a joke.
the hand cannon is too powerful, it kills the challenge, although i have it on infinite ammo, i rarely use it. aww you should have tried the professional mode, it's full of challenges. i only use my sniper rifle on salazar cause he's way too easy but you can instantly kill him with the rocket launcher. hmm salvador wasn't really scary (though the sound of the chainsaw makes me nervous), garrador is even scarier! but still regenerators are still the scariest lol. for me, verdugo was the hardest boss, i think he's the right hand of salazar. verdugo has the craziest defense!! i had a hard time beating that high defense, and it's quite scary around the sewers too >_< oh btw welcome brazilians! ohh nice, the culture interests me a lot! i'm glad you all play biohazard ^_______^
Thanks again crimson, damn they shoulda make a biohazard here hehehe. I'm tryin' to write a history of a biohazard here. Damn... Anyone know if the extra episodes for resident evil 5 will be available for pc?
hmm... i'm not sure but it may be exclusive to ps3... and maybe 360 too. oh btw, that GTA BIOHAZARD ALERT was pretty cool. have you seen claire redfield babysitting ada wong in resident evil 4 lol i forgot the link but here's some re4 mods: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AthAH_iQAs - claire redfield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OL97ewYWgg&feature=related - elza walker from resident evil 1.5 or re2 prototype

oh, thanks for bumping this thread, and thanks for that whole bunch of infos! omg that's really rebecca, i can't believe it >_<
Gotta love Resident Evil in all of its glory, but I think it is starting to decline, I mean RE5 is beginning to push it and I loved RE4 but kinda missed the T-Virus zombies ); Especially the Licker ^_^ New games are coming out to challenge RE's greatness though and all will massively fail :] I have played all of the RE games and like them all (love some more than others but ya know thats everybody?)
Lost in Nightmares and the first DLC costumes pack are up today by the way for Xbox 360 and will be available tomorrow on PS3.
aww the licker is kinda' creepy but i find it a little easier than the hunter. then i'm going to miss it cause i'm too poor to afford ps3 & 360. i guess i have to wait for the pc version =(
