The New Xbox 360 Slim + Kinect or The Playstation 3 + PS Move?

I think you should get the kinect because the games are alot more fun like joyride, Sports, and adventures. But if you don't have a lot of space for movement in your house then you should get the move. My cousin and I have the Kinect and Move because we beta tested for them.

I wouldn't bother getting any of those because I don't even have a XBOX or PS3.

I seriously don't understand how the Kinect has better games, the three games you listed are:

    1. A Wii Sports knock off
    2. A Wii Sports Resort knock off
    3. A lack luster racing game that was supposed to be on the XBLA for free, so in turn the retail version costs far more then it should be (it's lack of features, modes and variety show that the game was not meant to be a 50$ retail game).

All of the three above aren't going to last very long.

The biggest issue I have with Kinect is that it only has one game that's legitimately good, and won't wear off that quickly is Dance Central. Seriously, it's the best game on the Kinect as of right now, it use the Kinect to it's full ability and it's fun and easy to get into once you have some practice. That and Kinect has no backwards compatibility with ANY game, and there isn't any games announced that sound good on the Kinect (maybe Steel Battalion, but I don't have high hopes for it honestly). So far, it's games are glorified tech demos.

The Move has more games, and has backwards compatibility. The games that it does have backwards compatibility are games that will suck you in for longer than a day and the games that will be compatible with are the same. A lot of the games for it are legitimate games featuring move controls. RE5, MAG, Killzone 3, Heavy Rain, RUSE, LBP/2. Don't forget Sorcery which looked good at E3.

As of right now, I wouldn't get either, but honestly, looking at the games now, and upcoming, the Move has the edge over Kinect.

Just search around and see which one havnt break any TV yet.

regardless, i just want to see how Kinect is going to handle Halo. remember, kinect = no controller = no button.

    I highly doubt it will.

That would be awkward to play an FPS without some kind of controller.

i can imagine, Move on the other hand fully support Killzone 3, you know, as the fanboy call it the "Halo" for PS3.

They made a kinect fps...it looked like chess with guns because of the movements.

    NOT FUN!

Except the Move actually has buttons. With the Kinect, there is none, and the Kinect doesn't detect fingers, Aiming (relatively slow) and moving forward (and only forward) would be easy-ish. But shooting would either be automatic or require a silly gesture. An FPS or TPS is exactly how a Wii does it's FPS'. While the Kinect, not so much.

I said only forward because the Kinect cannot tell if you are facing away or your body is facing another direction.

the controller will never go away, there will always be a need for the joystick and buttonpad, people can argue all they want about Kinect or PS move or Wiichucks, but the fact is it will always boil down to the JoyPad and Keyboard/mouse combo. (and Mr. Mouse always wins)

    want to hear something cool?

PS move + Dolphin Wii emulator + high end computer = gaming pleasure

I have to agree with Natewlie, the Move just has better games coming up. I actually bought one and was very impressed with the accuracy with which the hardware tracked my movements. I can't think of many games that will work with the Kinect as your input is extremely limited. There's a good interview with a software engineer working for Sony which supports my statement here. You could claim it's biased, and maybe it is a little, but I think most of the point made are very true.

Okay, think of it this way.

PS3 MOVE = High Def Wii with high Def Games

XBOX 360 KINECT = Nothing to hold to use the game

They both work (to an extent)

A bit over-simplified. The technology behind the Move works differently and because of that it's able to run much more complex games (such as Killzone 3) also, as it is able to track where the control is at all times instead of just what way you're moving it, you can do other things. For instance, sword fighting, swinging bats, etc. on it is far better than any of the Wii's pathetic attempts. Comparing the Move to the Wii is like comparing the Wiimote to the Gcon 45. They have some similar features, but the Wiimote has a lot more functionality than a Gcon 45 and the Move has a lot more functionality than the Wiimote.

I Lke FPS so ill go with Ps Move. (Which i alredy have)
I just don't see how any kind of shooting game will work with Kinect
If you are going to play a FPS then you need some kind of controller
