Gameplay and history. Some people argue over stupid graphic things. Nowdays, most games get better graphics but doesn't offer much challenge in terms of gameplay. So you might say that games are getting easier cause people are focusing only in visual stuff.

Gameplay and only gameplay. Story is overrated great gameplay will find its own myth within the player.

Gameplay. Story isn't most important in games, for that we have movies and books :p

Games, books and movies all present stories in different ways

agreed, i hate books, but i love a game with a really good story line. maybe its because games are highly interactive. lol i dont like normal books but i like interactive books? makes me sound like a three year old haha!

yes that's true. i read this from somewhere before "isnt it funny how we can finish COD and L4D in a day but we still struggle to finish games like super mario?" but i do think good graphics are needed in a game because sometimes i lack motivation in a bad graphic game

What people often forget is that games now come with the ability to change the difficulty. So completing the game on normal in one day is not the same as completing the game. However, I do agree that the focus of games in general has been drifting away from gameplay recently. Hopefully it'll drift back now that graphics are about as good as they need be.

i dunno about the graphics, i think they will just get better and better. for example the new 3d technology that will soon be released may only be focused on the tv/console at the moment but surely game developers will try to take advantage of "3D" asap. but i may be getting a bit ahead of myself there as nobody really knows much about this, the plan for 3d might not even work out.
