When we're talking about grammar, make sure that you capitalize i when you say: I have, or, I do. Simple thing, little effort to do.

And it's all best effort. Try your best, and there won't be remarks (unless you ask for them :p)

Hrm, I type stuff here like how I say it, which is why I trail off like this...

The "reduced language" part was originally to say "no foul language' but there are bits here and there...opps sorry, bad habit.

I'll tell you guys something-I will say this once-my iq is absolutly terrible (I spelt absolutly wrong, right?) which encompasses spelling, speech, math, etc.

I made this topic in honour of those who enforce it-I admit I left myself wide open, but I was in a good mood when I started this.

Compared to other sites which uses "txt" speech, I believe (probably wrong spelling AGAIN) we do pretty well.

Now, I may use fancy words, but my interpretations are bassed on how they are uses, ie "interpretations" as meaning.

Now if what I just said didn't make sence-this will.

My 13 year old brother is more intelligent that me-I just use mre advanced stuff than him because I'm old enough to do so.

Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna chill out before I break my keyboard-no offence, this just hurt.

    Ok, i calmed down...

    I don't see you much b2k...

Yours is a bit better than mine though, if you chose to be picky picky...

    *sigh

Man did I set myself up for that-is it so hard to just say thanks to the person who made it easier to read the forums?

(And to continually enforce it-to the point where even us users can say something about a txt'er)

Be a man, have the balls to say you don't know something and learn it! You should still be in a good mood! You're learning something that will benefit you later!

You'll never learn it if you don't admit you don't know it. Admitting your 'flaws' and being open to the solutions is the way of handling things.

For all other weird words there's dictionary dot com:
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/absolutly
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bassed
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sence
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/believe <- guess what, you've just learned something today which will benefit you tomorrow (and in the future) :)

And just because I'm peculiarly picky today... "Compared to other sites which uses".. See it as a good thing.

The "Speak in English as good as you can" rule is pretty obvious, it's because the forum caters to people all over the world.

The "No to SMS, Chat & L33T speak" rule is there because for one thing, different countries means different meanings for SMS words. Another reason is that, if you wrote your words out fully people like Born2killx can come on in & tell you your mistakes so you can better your English writing skills.

The friendly atmosphere was set up so that people can learn about stuff like ROMs & emulation enough to empower them to figure things out for themselves :) Also, when you become knowledgeable in something, you in turn can help out others you may encounter in the future who might need to learn about said things, in the end, we all help out each other :D

My grammar and spelling is pretty good, according to nearly all of my previous teachers.
And I like it how some people on here who don't know how to spell a word, still have a try anyway.

My social studies teacher accused me of plagiarism on a paper I wrote. What the hell? Just because I used above average English? Apparently, if my English is too good, I am not appreciated. If I attempt to intentionally throttle the intelligence of my sentences so that my teachers can understand them, they say that my vocabulary is too limited and I am not appreciated.

    I just don't understand people.

There are times when I'll have to ask the poster to clarify. Even with corrected grammar, the sentence still doesn't make sense.

I wish other forums enforced this rule.

its like the 3rd or 4th

    "Laugh out loud".

Sure, this community has a good rule in enforcing good language, but being the spelling/grammar nazi I am, I still hate how so many people make mistakes. Maybe if people read over their posts carefully before posting we'd be even further above par.

that's not really fair to say, you can check you're spelling but still make mistakes like :
the word is good but it's the wrong one.

it's easy to say the grammar should be better but you try posting in a different language , English grammar is nothing like dutch grammar.

so i think your statement is a bit harsh, sorry
