Hes having problems with epsxe or i wouldn't have suggested it.
i also have problems with it and none with psxfin

 

Yeah, ePSXe requires a bit of work to get working. PSXfin has unsolvable problems with certain games, so if you don't play them, you won't notice them.

 

I myself play a lot of non mainstream PSX games, like I'm playing Juggernaut right now so I have to use ePSXe to get them to work right. I have also fully switched to No$GBA for DS and GBA and love it. Cahos, could you give me a list of the translations with the unsolvable problems, I believe you but would like to look into it and possibly avoid those translations in the future, also Ghideon Doesn't have Maplestory DS on the projects list of AGTP.

anyways, I don't get what the OP qualifies as "the best emulator"; only SNES ones (snes9x is better atm) ? you could just list off the best emulators for each system...

Also as I said, Gideon wouldn't touch any DS games, heck he even hates Pokemon games as a matter of fact.

Can't speak for Griffandir, but I don't see any reason to switch.

Actually the perfect emulator would be Native Instruments Pro53, which emulates the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5. It is so tight that even read sysex midi messages from the Prophet 5.

But back on game subject. ZSNES has a lot of problems and stuff, one of them being it's horrible GUI.

 

It's "Unique" GUI is the reason I love it so much. So you have to type in the paths for saves and such, is that any reason to not use such an awesome emulator, well unless you want to play the english patch of Star Ocean then you're in trouble.

It is 16-bit, and that is horrible on a 32/64-bit computer.

 

id have to go with Snes9x just because its really user friendly, and it also allowed me to revisit one of the best games of all time "Secret of Evermore" plus it was the first emulator that i introduced me into emulation but i think its known to cause cancer in the state of california


of course we all love RomUlation you (cant/wont/better never) find a site that does it better
ive never seen anyone from the RomUlation staff be rude or unfair in any situation the only thing i can think of that would improve this site would be them banning everyone who makes the following statement in a comment in the downloads section " this doesnt work for me" or "this doesnt work on (insert flashcart here)" or " this game is dumb"

as for hackers it would have to be the no$gba guy .. its just sad how everything went down a pirate stabbed in the back by his own fellow pirates , its a shame to see how many people wouldnt pay $3 to have one of the best DS emulators to date, but i guess all is fair in love and war
