Since this thread has reached so many replies already, I the originator of this topic, have decided to change the rules a bit

Posters no longer need to post questions, if they don't want to, instead you can now just quote a question you want to answer.

Same is true after you answer said quoted question, you no longer need to post a question of your own, but it would be nice if you could add more interesting questions for everybody to answer

native subjects - Filipino - almost every one fails in this subject in our school
standard subjects - English - specially tenses eg: past perfect tense, present participle, ect

the only reason school children fail at "Filipino" the subject, is because the school system here in our country is insisting that kids should learn their native language, something they've already known at home - duh!

Then the school system tries to apply linguistics approaches to teach children something they already know, saying you don't actually know your own language unless the school teaches it to you.

 

well I didn't learn "pang-abay, panaguri, ect" (this words have english translations but I don't know them sorry :-\) and also you have to learn Rizal's (Philippine's national hero) history and reading Noli metangere (jose rizal's book) half the schoolyear then reporting the story to the whole class.......Its just so hard :'(
