Soul Calibur for the DS will never happen. Playing a fighting game with the DS's D-pad would be a nightmare.

And I thought Nintendo was aiming for a more family-friendly approach to gaming? I don't think Nintendo's handheld is meant to be hardcore in any way.

I'm sorry I just get really angry when I have not had a decent game in months. My mom and dad use my TV like it's theirs so I can't use it. My sister uses my laptop to chat with her friends so I can't use that either. My brother uses my PSP all the time and due to the overprotective guards by the front gate, I'm not allowed to walk ANYWHERE outside the apartments. My DS is my only friend and I am by it's side at all times. I beat every game in my flashcard and am just really desperate for a new DS game

I did. I pulled the PSP away from my brother and my mom grounded me for not sharing. I changed my password to my laptop so my sister won't use it but my mom told me to change it back because my sister has to do homework on it when actually she's just using it to chat to her friends. She really knows how to clean up her tracks like if she's chatting with her friend and my mom comes around she just minimizes the chat window and opens up a wikipedia page about the US government.

Actually on topic:

I completely agree with Seph with the fact that it is not RomU's fault if you don't like a game, as others potentially do. I personally think those games will kill the DS (even worse than it is getting to) if they keep releasing fifteen "Look, ANOTHER PET GAME!!!" every single month. It is obvious that no true production time goes into these, and they just take the base code from game to game and mod it to make it seem like a new game, regardless of the fact that it is the same game that has been dumped 200 times before under a different title.

RomU gets a very solid number of roms, not gonna be absolutely everything, but it is definitely the bulk. They can't control the development teams for Nintendo looking to make a quick buck on a two day game. I would appreciate it if a new solid FF-esque RPG would come out for the DS, or a FPS that didn't suck (I'm looking at you MW2 for DS :/ ), but that just isn't where the interest seems to be sitting anymore. Golden Sun DS will be (hopefully) the most notable RPG released for the DS in a long while that didn't include Pokemon. Shin Megami Tensei may be popular to a certain degree, but I honestly didn't hear much about it before joining this site and have issues getting enthralled with the game play.

Nintendo as a whole basically needs to control what they let through the pipes, and need to stop releasing so many kid games. They obviously aren't wholesome, are only going to appeal to very young kids, mostly female from the looks of the games being released, and just aren't going to keep the DS on track. If they want to get DS game sales up, maybe they should consider creating games that balance the DS player base vs all the garbage they've been letting out.

The touch screen is being basically abused too. Basically, "here, use your stylus to pet your 500th dog and your 75th horse, maybe your 149th cat too!"
That second screen was supposed to introduce new ways to play games and enjoy them, not for the sole purpose of releasing another pet game.

In short, Nintendo needs to control their third party developers and get the DS back on track. As soon as they changed how they were advertising it about two years ago, quality games that the masses can enjoy have been few and far in between. I can still enjoy games I missed, but those will eventually run out, and a game with replay value can only have so much of it.

 

Blame ubisoft for all of the Imagine games, As dumb as i, and a lot of people think all the pet and imagine games are, they get made because they sell. There are like 3000 imagine games on the DS.
