For me had to be Final Fantasy X.
Mostly because it was the FF I spended the most time with... i really loved it
However that doesn't mean it is the only FF I ever played.
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VI
And
Final Fantasy VIII Were others FF i really loved.

FFX was great because there's so much extra stuff to do after you finish the main story.
Such as Celestial Weapons and all those Dark Aeons and The final Secret boss and much more.

I think FFXII was the best it had a good story and many extra espers and had many puzzles after you get done with the story. In my opinion it was extremly underated.

The best Final Fantasy Game have to be FF6. It had every a great story,good cast of character,and one
of the greatest video game soundtrack ever

The most complete game in the series is 7. It also had the biggest advantage, as it was the first 3D game. This lead to the storytelling have a since of spectacle that the other games could only have if the story already won you over.
However, i think the success of FF7 are mostly due to Final Fantasy 6's advancements. Emotion in gaming wasn't born in the rich world of FF6, but it did mature there. From the opera scene, to the story of Setziers fallen love, FF6 brought new hights to the world of real story telling in the young gaming medium.
also, it's rich cast of characters, amazing score, and creative and adaptable gameplay make it the magnus opum of the great franchise

I would say:

1. FF X ( I love FFX because the storyline was just..amazing! It actually made me love the Final Fantasy series.)
2. FF VIII (This was the first Final Fantasy I played and I hated it at first. I loved the story, but I started to hate the gameplay... then I studied the battle system and I stopped using GFs so much and it became awesome so yeah..this one is awesome!)
3. FF X-2 (I loved this one because it continued the story and it was kind of funny sometimes..not to mention it had the best music..well..maybe 2nd only to FFX and FFVIII...okay..all three get to tie ...)
4.FF VII (I love this FF because well..the gameplay was great and the storyline was great..although I found this one to be the 2nd easiest in the FF series with FFX-2 being first)
5. FF IV (I do prefer the GBA version..definitely... I thought it was awesome and very emotional for a GBA title...)
6. FF 12 (um..I liked this one... but I didn't like the battle system much so..that kind of ruined it for me... I wish it had a battle system like Kingdom Hearts that would have been awesome)
7. FF IX (I loved this game! Not as much as the others..but that was because I didn't like the whole..having to equip something and keep it there until you learned the move... but Vivi's whole storyline...that made me tear up a bit)
8. FF 3 (yeah..didn't get to play it much...but eh..didn't like it :/)
9. FF 2 ( It kind of ..didn't do it for me for some reason..)
10. FF1 (It was okay..just..eh.. )
Yeah...I've played almost every single FF game (not the new ones though..like ff13 ..don't have a ps3 or 360..not even a wii ) I think I'm also the only person that didn't like Crisis Core (gameplay..not storyline...) and I don't like Genesis much :/

Honestly those that grew up with the original bunch of the Fantasies will most likely pick them in some shape or form. If you're over 25, then you possibly played Final Fantasy on the NES. They all had good and bad points, but my question is this to those that would care to answer it. What if you had to play through just one of the Final Fantasies repeatedly. By that I mean, you played it, beat it, and then had to play it over and over. Which one would you pick if you had to play one particular title over and over again?

its not a fact because its just your opinion, your personal preference has nothing to do which is actually best.
