Good job dodging every part of the post that mattered and still avoiding actually pushing your tiny brain to its limits. You then continue to try and imply things I never said.

    Congrats, you're still fucking stupid.

If you think FF7 is revolutionary, then FF 12 is even more groundbreaking.

Yeah it can be pretty annoying, mainly since you have to rely on your party and medic skills to heal you. It's the same way in Persona 3 and 4, MC dies, Game over, although those games are turn based.

7 has its points, it was the first on CD, it was the first to move away from the 2D graphics used in the first six games to 3D computer graphics; the game features polygonal characters on pre-rendered backgrounds. And it was the first to be released in europe.

Game-play wise, FF 12 did more.

Okay then, I'll give you a simple and concise explanation.

FF7-still uses random encounter, the Materia system is great, but FF VI before has an almost similar system with the Esper magicite system.
FF7-FF introduces limit break but FF6 has a similar system, though less effective.
FF7-doesn't have an A.I programming, director system like the gambit. The battle system is largely similar to previous FFs.

FF12-Eliminates random encounter, this alone makes it more seamless and encourages exploration in a greater degree than other FFs.
FF12-Has an open-enough world, more so than previous FFs.
FF12-Introduces and A.I director system called the Gambit. In this way, you arrange your preferred battle strategy.
The combination of the Active-Dimension System (battle happening in the same game world) and the gambit takes FF to the next level.

Someone clearly doesn't know how to debate. As for me, when I have real life debates, I always win because I'm always the first to get pissed and punch everyone in the face.

If its not broke, don't try to fix it.
One thing the ATB system has over 12 and 13 is it allows you full control over each party member, there is no A.I. to screw it up for you.
Gambits work but sometimes you don't need to heal when your health is 30% because you sometimes get 2 or 3 attacks in before a boss will get their move.
In ATB you make every decision so its as you like to play.
Yes, I agree with you. My choice of battles would be like 12 but with ATB.
I don't think its more so, the world map is missing so its just areas not the entire world.
Its different and just as good in its own way. It works well and I like it.
But sometimes its better to have full control over each party member, the gambit system cant adapt to changing scenarios.
I agree with the battle happening in the same world but not A.I.

So now the thread has a new name, im saying the perfect final fantasy would include elements such as ATB but get rid of random encounters, a cross between 7 and 12.

    - A fantasy setting (tech level will be at steam at best)
    - Old school adventurer lead with minimum emotional baggage (don't mean clean slate, I mean not overwhelming like Cloud or Lightning)
    - Interactive Summons (X onwards)
    - A sport as a side-game (Blitzball, Blitzball was awesome)
    - New Game +
    - Class System like FFV
    - Monster Arena
    - No Random Encounters
    - Outed Lesbians (got SOOOO close in XIII)
    - In-Story Clans
    - Dragons and shit

    I would buy that.

I always thought Chrono Trigger was the first game that incorporated a new game plus(+) into the elements of a finished game. But it wasn't, anyone remember which game was?
