    no i love tactics but the didnt call it ff8 (i think i was released between 7 and 8) they called it tactics, but now we have 2 mmorpgs, and it seems square is only making ff games i would like more of a variety i could use vagrant story 2, of maybe another Brave Fencer Musashi game, im just saying

    It has go to be Final Fantasy VI most definitely. In order to call a Final Fantasy title as the best you have to understand what makes the story engaging. The characters, the plot(very important), the world the characters play in, and mainly the themes incorporated within each material.
    In my oppinion Final Fantasy started to loose its flavor when Final Fantasy X came out; with flashy special effects, highly detailed monsters, not to mention stupid looking characters, and just no emotion all just pretty faces trying to look cute and cuddly--tsk, tsk, tsk! COME OoooNnn!

    7 is okay. It is not spectacular by any means. I have played nearly all of the main series FF games (beaten or gotten very close to the end in all of them), and can safely say that 7 is not the best.

    The story is basically just a mind fuck and that's about the only plus over other FF games.
