TALK ABOUT ANTS OR INSECTS HERE!!!!!

In some countries, ant farms can be bought at your local pet shop (SOME countries). However, they are usually found in hobby shops because keeping ant farms are for those bug enthusiasts and ant farm hobbyists. You can also buy ant farms on the internet.

You can try capturing a queen and some of her subjects but that's hard to do. The queen can die in just 1-3 days by doing this...

Wow, looks like i need to shift my pot away and capture the queen ant but i did that once and almost bitten with swollen fingers T_T The red ants are too scary and idea how to capture one? Well,my avatar is not from Gaia Online but from the Mofunzone avatar creation thingy ;D

 

Umm, I used to flush the queen out of the ant hill by flooding it with water then, I just pick it up delicately with tweezers. Wear gloves latex gloves so you won't feel much pain when the queen bites.

 

Really? I took up the pot and found the so called royal room and found that that are some "royal guards" with super huge jaws that are almost the same as the queen ant. Well,i guess i would skip the ant farm since i got a natural one at my pot which i do not need to take care of ;D

 

IIRC there is only Queen Ants, Worker Ants, Nurse Ant (young worker ants) and Fighter Ants. the "royal guard" that you found is just a normal fighting ants which have a huge jaw and head. they are the military of ants colony.

I burned ants with a magnifying glass when I was younger. Frequently.

 

Thats cruel but how do you manage to to it? I took a magnifying glass and hold it under a strong sunlight pointed at the ant for half an hour and it still didn't burnt up..
