Yeah, there is hope. It's weird, I heard of nearly every other major flashcart working on a fix but nothing about Wood. And then suddenly, they solve the issues. And at least you have DesumE, or do you not want to spoil it?

I've put my faith in Wood ever since Pokemon Black worked perfectly despite it not working in ysmenu for me.

 

Help please. All this talk of Wood and menus and I am now officially confused.

Here is what is on the sticker of the card I have:

R4
Upgrade
Revolution for DS
(NDSL/NDS)
WWW.R4I-SDHC.COM

Will Wood run on this or am I damned to hell for being sucked in with a crappy card? All other games run flawlessly.

If I can get Wood on this, can someone please help a silly old fart get it sorted, as I want it on mine and also on my sons' card.

Yes, wood was designed specifically for the type of card you have, us R4 users.

I have been on here for the better part of all time since the release tryign to find a way to run on DS. Have also tested claimed fixes, and getting angry at the waste of DL. But the light is finally here.....YAY!

R4wood works on most original R4's - I see them on the open market between £13 - £15 with a microSD included and they come like this - Mosly from indoor market's shops selling mobiles are watch'es



and the over package



I have one and it's worth it!! - and works with either Ysmenu are R4Wood firmware

Just make sure they look like the one's abouth in the images

 

OK the gods hate me. I have removed the original firmware (no instructions seen) and replaced it with the Wood stuff. I get a ? MENU. I take it I have stuffed up?

No problem, I'm just glad I could help. I am grateful to YWD for Wood and for his constant help and updates.
In fact, I almost feel sorry for the creator of ysmenu, as his program is now outdated (and has been for a while, except for a few things).
And yeah, we're sorry for the fake fixes XD

You can remove the original firmware, since Wood would replace it anyway and it would just make your SD card cluttered.

What an odd site
There's a third option: You could mass close all windows (if you have Windows 7, etc)
I actually used that site to test if my PC could handle it.

darkrequiem: Is it because it has the underscore at the start of the filename and folder that stops it running on mine? Do I need to remove them?

It's awesome that the r4 guys got a fix.

I wonder if there WILL be a universal patch still.

Hell, I still can't even play bowser's inside story on my DS.

 

If i remember that game had it's fair share of ap and it took a couple of days to get a patch for it.

 

that's all that's need in the root of your microsd chip
- make a games folder if you like

mostly for r4 originals though


Should do a backup of all your games and save - then do a full format - Remember to backup you original firmware just incase

 

Yep, tried all that thanks. Have backed up games and firmware, updated firmare, stood on head while singing dixie and still nothing. I am lost. I have emailed the card people and asked when they expect to sort this out and make the game playable, they claim dasily responses, but I would be suprised.
