It's a slightly easier wait if you play the game in DesumE. It's a pace slower, but it's still playable (actually, it's pretty fast) on my somewhat old laptop. With the right settings, of course.
IdeaS does not work correctly though (no adjectives can be used correctly), and Super Scribblenauts on no$gba does not work at all without some configurations.

About that gamespot review....
It doesn't apply to me. I was not hoping for the levels/puzzles to involve adjectives, I was hoping to make my own weird scenario with adjectives. It seems like the GS reviewer wanted a solid single-player adventure, not a sandbox. I for one, wanted this game for it's sandbox, and if the levels/puzzles are fun, even better.
What's weird is that the game is way better than I thought it would be.

 

What are the settings for the Desmume? Mine just gives me a white screen. And because i normally don't use emulators for the NDS, i have no idea of where to find them.

 

It may be outdated, I'll PM you a link of the newest version and my settings.
