Super Easy Way to get games working on an R4.

i have an r4 with the r4 ultra version download 1.54. why dont some games work on it and how do i add cheats to games?

 

You need to get a usrcheat.dat from http://cheats.gbatemp.net and have it in your 'system' folder. Don't expect all games to work with it, make sure you have read the Common Issues though. https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=1462.0

Okay, I found it, but my game froze when I choose to autosave or not...

 

Update your firmware.

I had the same problem and I updated frmware and placed the game on the R4 but not in the games file. Now it works like charm.

I got updated firmware, everything. I switched the arm7 file but still didn't work. Am I also supposed to get the arm9 file?

 

I've got the 1.23 version perhaps that's your problem?

I don't know how to get ARM9 file.
I have several games that work fine after replacing the ARM7 file.
You use the maxxcrash method?

 

since i updated to 1.18 i have never had any compatibility issues except with mlb power pros 08. With that one, ds download wouldn't work. I would always try to find another solution before going with the max crash method because it disables multiplayer capabilities for mosr ROMs

 

Hi, Can anyone help. After Downloading Lego Batman (my first time downloading) it appears with the icon on the DS Screen but after clicking on it Its just constantly on Loading ......... ???? Any ideas. I followed all the instructions that came with my R4 card !

 

Try backing up and reformat your MicroSD.

 

you must not have done everything correctly. it has worked fine for me with 1.17

My mother has rhythm paradise on her DS and she hasn't got any problems.
She has the latest firmware. Good luck
