The original XCOM is loved by many for its punishing difficulty and fluid gameplay mechanics. I was able to pick it up when it was free on the Humble Store. It runs without problem with the DOSBox emulator, so at least it's running okay. Unfortunately I'm not really getting into the game that well, but I haven't used the XCOMUtil utility app yet to improve my gameplay experience. The general mechanics while may be fluid back in the day, are confusing to me and the blocky old graphical UI design is kind of hard to distinguish between individual functions. For those who have played the original UFO: Enemy Unknown, would you know of a good way to improve the experience?
