depends which R4. The OP is unlikely to have an original R4, which is the only one that doesn't support SDHC cards.

    @ Kawaii87,

R4 SDHC and R4i SDHC supports non-SDHC SD MICRO cards and SDHC SD MICRO cards up to 32GB (if not mistaken about the max size; or was it 16GB :p). In any case, as long as his R4 stated "SDHC" on the sticker, it'll work just fine.

    @ Biglewy,
Downloading and adding games to the SD MICRO is easy. But first you'll need to have a software to unpack the roms since most of them are compressed in either of these 3 formats; .7z, .rar., or .zip. Best is you get a 'WINRAR' program if you are on Windows OS (alternative program: 7zip), if on MAC....you'll have to look for a similar file decompress software; or any program of your choice. All you need to do is download it, from various links, such as the ones provided in our main ROMULATION DOWNLOAD page or in our NDS SHARE section, unpack/decompress using the said program, once unpacked you'll normally see a file with the extension .NDS (copy that over to your SD MICRO), if it's extension is .ND5, just change it to .NDS.

You'll however might first need to install some installation files provided by your R4's official website if the SD MICRO is still empty. I'm not going to suggest where to look, but you have to go to the website stated on the sticker on your R4's body/the package box. That is if the SD MICRO is empty, if it's already been pre-setup by the seller when you bought it, then this step can be ignored.

As for if when you run the rom on your console, you see white screen or black screen....well, you'll need to add a secondary firmware. I can't suggest any secondary firmware to you since you haven't properly state what R4 you have. Thus I dare not make any suggestions. You may come back here when you find some games produce those screens. When that happen, state to us the full text as per written on your cart's body, official website address, firmware in use (run the cart on the console to find out), picture of the cart, SD Micro content, etc.
