    perusing the xenforo support forum for other things, I've seen threads stating xen doesn't like threads above a certain length and starts becoming slow with them. This thread is way over that point. There's even mods to automatically lock threads that reach a certain length and start a new one.

    Speaking on a similar issue, I was forced to edit one of my posts (before submitting) in the news section a few days ago, because the system says it cannot be more than 2000 words long (or was it 1000; regardless, there's a cap). Not a problem, makes my posts look tidy, but that's the reason why my recent news post length are kept to a minimum.
