    US Gov. "Well...lets pass idiotic laws in an attempt to try to prove we still have some power [that we dont] and while we're at it lets shut down places loads of our people work on something we cant own."
    Everyone "Wont that make people mad? They wont vote you back in office"
    US Gov. "When the time comes we'll just invent some fake issue to solve and hopefully enough of the stupid bastards vote us back in like they kept doing this past decade"
