I've never really touched alcohol, and don't plan on it anytime soon.

No, but I make up for it by drinking stuff that isn't shitty watery beer or RTD vodka mixes.

That basically puts me above 90% of people who drink in this country, from age 14 up.

 

Maybe in whichever country you live in, but here in British Columbia, Canada, you have to be 19, and around here it's really not hard to get alcohol anyways, or marijuana. I just choose not to drink the stuff because it all tastes nasty as fuck (I have tried many different kinds before, yes), and even if I did like the taste, the end result isn't good, people are fucking dumb when they're drunk, poor decision making, and lowering your intelligence just to wake up with a nasty headache the next morning is not my idea of fun.

 

I remember virtually nothing from today.

Man, I can get behind that reasoning. That used to be my mindset before I started drinking and it served me well through high school.

With that said the whole idea is not to "drink to get drunk". I'm a much more easygoing person in a highly social situation after I've had a couple of drinks. Also the fireball in your gut you get from drinking straight scotch is awesome, and I seem to be immune to hangovers.

 

Unfortunately that's not the case with kids around here, they drink to get drunk and get kicks out of doing stupid stuff while drunk, and watch other kids do stupid stuff while drunk. Its why I avoid parties. Though it is "kids" as I said, maybe I just need to find more mature people to drink with.
